Logan meets with an informant in Madripoor - who also happens to be his barber.

Hatar was an old man who'd owned his little barber shop in the corner of an unsuspecting street in Madripoor for longer than he could remember. He was good at his job, and discreet, which kept regular customers coming back to him for a long time.

Sometimes too long.

"Ah, Logan!" He greeted the man cheerfully, gesturing for Logan to sit. He'd never questioned Logan's agelessness. Part of his discretion. His money was good, his company was better, and Hatar only saw Logan when there was something he thought Logan and his peculiar group of friends could handle. "Sit, sit."

Logan nodded a greeting as was his usual. Sometimes he was in a chatty mood and sometimes he wasn't. Hatar was long used to his various moods and didn't push no matter what. A good thing for the man. It'd kept him alive through young adulthood and into his current age. He settled into one of the worn leather chairs and watched his reflection in the mirror as he was draped and set for his usual.

Hatar was quiet as he draped the smock over Logan, getting all of his equipment set up (and discreetly flipping the sign from open to closed) before setting to work. "It's been awhile," he said casually as he began trimming. "Quite a bit has changed in Low Town since your last visit."

Logan arched an eyebrow at that. Low Town wasn't known much for change. There were set patterns and people in place that made sure of that. "What's goin' on? I didn't notice much different on the way in." If it was being mentioned to him, then there was something he needed to look into to make sure it didn't need to be taken care of with his connections.

"Kids." Snip, snip, snip. "A strange girl turned up a few months ago - young, twenties maybe? And started collecting the homeless mutant kids." Snip. "She has been treating them well and teaching them how to survive on their own. A great service to the community, if you ask me, but not everyone agrees." Snip. "One of the local gangs has been targeting them, taking children. La mujer has a bit of a temper - it would not surprise me to see this escalate."

Not unheard of. Folks tended to like to protect kids when push came to shove. That was a cause Logan could get behind. He made a low hrrm sound at that. "Not good for the kids to get caught up in somethin' like this. The gangs usually have better morals than that. The woman piss them off?" He paused for a moment. "Somethin' ya think needs some of my kind of lookin' into?"

"I think if left to itself we're going to have a lot of dead gang members on our hands," Hatar said simply. "I don't know if she's done anything to make them angry yet, but she certainly will."

Logan knew the type. "I'll get some of my folks on it. We'll get it sorted, Hatar. Don't worry."

The man smiled serenely. "I knew you would. Now, tilt your head slightly..."
