Snow Day - Nica and Angelo

xp_logsSet earlier today when helping out the community was going on. Nica and Angelo are on delivery duty.
"So who's next on the list?" Angelo asked semi-rhetorically, pulling his copy out to look at it.
Nica peered over his shoulder, pulling her woolly hat down further around her ears. "Mrs... Silverman, by the looks? Old lady, lives alone, needs someone to bring her groceries for the week and maybe clear off the path." She grinned. "Wanna make another bet? Cat or no cat?"
He grinned back. "Gotta be a cat. Or maybe she'll surprise us and have some other pet."
"Or maybe she'll be one of those uber-clean neat freaks with plastic all over everything?" countered Nica. She moved over to the sled they were dragging behind them, loaded with boxes from the local supermarket full of groceries, the names written one the sides in black marker. The snow was at least 10 inches deep, and would have been above the top of her boots if she hadn't been cheating by floating an inch or two from the ground. "I hope she likes beans. There has to be at least four cans in here."
Angelo was also cheating by boosting his height in the way only his powers allowed: his own personal lifts. "Somebody would have come around before they made the lists to check for allergies and which food they really hate, I guess? Saves on waste."
“Someone from the store called ‘round, at least that’s what the guy said when we were loading up,” Nica replied. “Okay, let’s get this delivered. I don’t really get cold, but your nose is kind of blue. Well, more dark slate gray, but I assume that’s what color you go when you get cold.”
Angelo laughed, rubbing his nose. "It is kind of chilly. OK, let's go see Mrs Silverman."
