Jubilee wanders into Kane's room while he's being lazy and watching television.

Jubilee knocked loudly on the door to Garrison’s suite. Normally she’d have come through a window but given, well, everything, she wouldn’t feel right about possibly freaking him out.

Not that she ever would have in general, having been given the talk about not randomly dropping in on people who hadn’t given her express permission to do just that.

Whatever. She was a delight, and the very soul of personal boundaries.

She grinned to herself over the joke. Fine, she wasn’t _that_ good.

"It's Jubilee, isn't it. No one else would not say anything." Kane said, his head poking up from his couch. "Come in."

Jubilee sauntered in, closing the door behind her as she headed over to his couch and leaned herself on the back to give him a brilliant grin.

“Like, I would totally have said something but I was thinking and it kinda got away from me. How’s my favorite Canadian?”

"Tired. Mostly. Sober, which I hate. Watching 'Three's Company' reruns. That I don't have a good explanation for."

Jubilee did a quick roll over the edge of the couch to come down softly on Garrison’s legs, and settled herself comfortably. She was light and agile enough that her weight didn’t particularly impact on anyone but the smallest of people. It did make being her generally ‘no personal space’ self a lot easier.

“Why are you sober? Also, which episode?”

"It's the one where Mister Roper sees Jack do something and takes it all out of context... wait, that's all of them." He said, propping his head up on his forearms. "I don't have anything scheduled for once so I decided to try the unemployed middle-aged guy routine this afternoon. There's likely Kraft mac and cheese on the menu after Sanford and Sons is over."

“So, how much Kraft mac and cheese we talking here?” Jubilee idly enquired, settling herself happily with her head turned sideways to watch him. “Because, like, I could totally go some food of champions.”

"Oh, and now you want to steal my food." He raised an eyebrow at her. "Fine, I'll make a double-batch. I've seen you eat." Kane turned back to the screen, as Jack Tripper clumsily navigated over the couch to try and get to the door before the landlord and risk Larry giving away the secret.

“Is this the bit where I admit I’ve never watched ‘Three’s company’ and demand a running commentary about what the hell is going on?” Jubilee asked idly, kicking off the shoes she’d been wearing to make herself more comfortable. “Because I totally want to running commentary, and the Mac & Cheese.”

"Didn't you grow up in California? How do you not know what 'Three's Company' is? I mean, they only played the reruns constantly every sick day and summer break endlessly for us to watch as kids."

“Dude, to explain I’d have to trauma dump all over you and like, do you need that? Cause I’m like, willing to spill the tea but it’s kinda depressing as all fuck.”

Jubilee tilted herself sideways till her head landed against his chest, watching the TV rather than his eyes.

"You know I'm always willing to listen if you need to. If not..." Kane hit the volume button. "So that's John Ritter. He played Jack Tripper, a culinary student in Santa Monica who went to a going away party for a girl named Elanor. He got super drunk and was found sleeping in the bathtub the morning after by roommates Chrissy and Janet."

“It’s one of those dramatic ‘my parents were murdered, and the foster system sucked so I ended up on the streets’ kinda deals.” Jubilee noted, her tone attempting to be flippant but not quite getting there. “I found a really cool mall to live in though, so that was pretty rad. So like, does he live in their bathtub now?”

"No, see, he offered to take over Eleanor's room. But the building superintendent, Mr. Roper, doesn't want any unmarried mixed gender roommates. So they tell him Jack is gay."

Jubilee let that percolate in her head for a moment before speaking, a smile breaking out.

“So is that why nobody questions me just randomly turning up and making myself at home? Did TV lie to people about how Californians find roommates?”

"No, we just figured you'd do it anyways." Kane said. "This is just us giving up."

“Rude!” Jubilee exclaimed but her grin hasn’t faltered one bit. “Like, totally fair and entirely true but rude!”

"You weirdo." He said, but ran his hand affectionately down the back of her head. He never pretended to get her, but she'd always been there for him and Adrienne. "Alright, I'll explain it and then the Kraft mac and cheese. So, that's Larry, Jack's best friend who is a horndog but also was the basis of the Leisure Suit Larry character..."
