Pytor and Sooraya put their opponents down, but they escape at the last minute.

"Acknowledged." Arclight cocked back one arm. "Oh no, not the mighty Colossus!" She called down the hall before slamming her fist into the ground. A directed rush of sonic energy lashed from the impact point, reflecting from the stone wall in on itself over and over again as it lashed forward towards them. The wave scattered Sooraya's sand, pushing her down the length of the hallway and far behind Pyotr. Greycrow switched over to his motion tracking scope.

"Alley is clear for now. Green to engage." He said and Arclight moved forward quickly, using the sudden ambush to close on Colossus. Greycrow flicked his selector over to concussive rounds and started to pepper the area around the metal mutant with them, keeping him off-balance for her rush.

The concussive rounds didn't hurt per-se but they flash-dazzled him and set his ears to ringing. So Colossus threw up a steel arm to prevent a round from bouncing off his eye or going up his nose or getting swallowed, As a result, Arclight's shockwave knocked him off his metal feet and caused him to have to scramble back up to his feet. "Сука." he muttered as he tried to regain his feet. Any concerns about his partner were forgotten temporarily in the noise and strobing bright lights.

Sooraya only needed a moment to shake off the sonic attack, fiercely shoving away the memories that it brought forth. Instead she focused on her surroundings, since a straight assault wasn't going to work here. Taking advantage of the flashes, she spiraled up, disappearing into the ventilation shaft and rushed forward. Tiny openings allowed her to get a sense of where she was and as soon as Dust was behind the two, she split into two, using small shafts on either side of the corridor to burst out.

From one side she went low, aiming for the armed man's knees. From the other side she went higher, just simply shoving against his back. Hopefully the combination would send him to his knees... giving her the chance to disable the weapon.

Graycrow grimaced and went for his belt. He hit the button on the sonic scrambler, and her world became a world of overlapping sonic fields, whipping things around.

"Qadir is on me."

"I've got steelcake." Arclight finally appeared out of the shadows, hitting Colossus in the chin with a shockwave attack that smashed him through the far wall, covering him with stone. "You need me back?"

Outside of the Danger Room Pyotr was pretty sure he'd never been hit quite that hard. Still, he was still game and he came out of the ruins of the wall like a shot, aiming a punch with all of his might right on the end of her pointy little chin. Should ring her bells but good, give him some room to move, shake off the last of the disorientation.

A shudder went through her sandform and almost automatically she pulled back until the sound waves didn't buffet her that much anymore. Prevented from attacking directly, Dust had to take a second to reassess. The man in front was a well-equipped shooter, but even shooters needed to see what they were aiming at. Blinding him directly was not going to work, but Sooraya thinned herself out, forming a large 'sheet' of sand only two or three particles thick. Then she moved forward, stopping where the sound waves were just bearable and she was able to maintain her form easily. Continuing on, she 'draped' herself over the entire dome of sonic fields in a thin sheet of sand, closing off all sight and even much of the sound. Taking the second she'd gained, she ordered: "Colossus, report."

"Tsk. Qadir got creative." Greycrow said into the comm. Arclight pulled back, dodging the punch by a hair and leaned back in, licking a long line up his nose before slamming both hands into his chest. It didn't throw him back as much as she expected, but it gave her time to fall back and a snap punch of the wall ripped a sonic wave down the tunnel that scrambled Dust enough to force off Greycrow.

"You clear?"

"Metalman is causing issues. I'm running out of countermeasures."

"She licked me!" he said with disgust. "Do not like this." he said as he advanced on Arclight, having bypassed any misgivings about hurting her in favor of putting some serious hurt on her. One-two-three combo, as fast as he could throw them, looking to ring her bells and/or blast the wind out of her lungs. If he could just get his hands on her ...

He'd completely forgotten about Dust and anything else other than taking this annoying woman and introducing her face to his fist. Repeatedly.

Sooraya caught herself once again, thoroughly tired of being tossed around by sonic waves. This time the sand particles clumped together, concealing into the shape of her sandman form and Dust stepped forward to engage Greycrow, lashing out to entrap the hand that was once again reaching for the gizmo that had set of the sonic fields with one arm, the other hand wrapping around the gun and pulling it away.

Pyotr was getting really tired of this woman - she was quick enough to dodge most of what he could throw at her and strong enough to ride out the few blows that did land. Still, he could tell her stamina wasn't where it could be - she was getting tired. Looks like nobody had ever pushed her like he was, which was fair as outside of the Danger Room nobody had ever pushed him like this. They traded blows back and forth, her exertions causing her breath to grow harsh, ragged. He, of course, had little need to breathe as Colossus so his breaths were smooth and calm and even.

Finally, the moment happened. She made a mistake. He lured her defenses wide with a looping punch with his left and when she stepped inside of it to not be where it was going to land, his other hand slammed into her ribcage. He could _hear_ her bones give way, her blood spew from her mouth as she tried to make a sound.. A followup elbow to her head with his right put her down to the ground like a limp ragdoll and Colossus stood for just a second, triumphant. FINALLY, he'd proven himself against the best anyone had ever thrown against him. But, as he remembered with a start, she didn't come down here alone. Her partner, the one with the annoying gun that made loud flashy bangs that hurt his eyes and his ears, was still somewhere down there. Riding the adrenaline surge of victory, he picked up Arclight with one hand, her limbs lolling and unresponsive, her breathing ragged and pained.

Suited him fine. She'd _licked_ him.

Smiling, he launched her down the hallway towards where her partner undoubtedly waited, then trotted after her. Maybe he'd get a shot at the other one, too. He owed him a few for those concussive rounds to his _face_.

"My apologies, Sooraya, but I'm afraid I can't let you do this." Greycrow said, a slight smile ghosting on his lips. He gave up his gun and cocked back his arm, like he was about to throw a punch. A static blast erupted forth. The energy arced through, polorizing the grains of sand and causing them to expand the distance between each grain. Sooraya's sand form expanded, growing larger but losing cohesion, to the point that her grip was non-existant. Greycrow casually wiped away the haze in front of him and lobbed a couple of granades down the hall, checking Colossus' charge with two concussive explosions, partially collapsing the tunnel on him.

If she'd been in her human form, she'd have growled. The effect of the energy faded not soon enough to grab to reform completely, but she was easily able to pull together a thick tendril and she leashed out. Desperate measures... and all the people who had been killed... rage surged through her. So she wrapped the thick tendril around the easiest and most vulnerable body part she could reach in the confusion... his neck... and simply yanked.

Greycrow fell back and when Sooraya felt the pulse of his blood in his neck, the rage diminished, sharpening into an icy focus. She remembered the lessons she had had in martial arts though and oh so carefully she tightened tendril, applying pressure in just the right place.... After a few moments Greycrow simply slumped over completely and she eased off..

Pyotr came trotting up, hands still balled into fists and still riding the adrenaline high of his combat with Arclight. The grenades had put the adrenaline back in his blood and he came in looking for anything to smash. "Dust." he said, his hands relaxing as the adrenaline faded and the shame rushed in on its heels. "Are you OK?"

Sooraya finally let go of Greycrow's neck and resumed her human form. Quickly she checked his vitals before looking up at Colossus, her gaze rather strict. "I'm fine. You?"

"Takes more than what they have to injure me" he said, too-loudly. "Just got some ringing in my ears from those cyka grenades." he added. Looking around, he quirked both his eyebrows. "You see an unconscious woman come flying this way?" he asked with a bit of a smirk. "She stood against the Colossus and found herself wanting."

The strict look turned into an outright glare and Sooraya craned her head up so she could meet his eyes. "Now is not the time or place..." Sooraya gestured at the still unconscious Greycrow at her feet and Arclight lying a couple of feet behind. "... but once this is wrapped up we will be having a discussion or two."

Pyotr had no idea what she was so fired up about but he was pretty sure she was going to tell him allllll about it. Later. "What do we do with these two? Leave them here? Carry them with us?" he asked, gesturing towards the two very unconscious people on the ground.

"They have a lot to answer for and all these people deserve justice. Find something to restrain them with while I make sure this one doesn't pull some kind of weapon from somewhere." Sooraya ordered, setting her grudge aside for now.

Behind his closed eyes, Greycrow considered his options. His combat harness had injected oxygen into his blood to counteract her choking attack just in time, but with the strategic situation, playing unconscious had been the best play. Sooraya might think she had him covered, but when you are the one who sets the battleground, sometimes all you need to do is move a single finger. He pressed down on his forefinger and charges in the ceiling detonated at the same time as the electrostatic mines he'd put in place triggered.

He rolled to one side, his armor grounded against the field, but it froze the other two in place just as the concussive force hammered them to the floor and the rest of the ceiling followed. He grabbed Arclight by the back of her jacket and swung her over one shoulder. He doubted the charges would give him more than a minute or two, but that was all he needed to escape.

Pyotr was just contemplating his restraint choices when he got thrown to the floor and then had the ceiling fall on his head. It was irritatingly heavy and it took a bit for him to shove the debris off himself. "DUST!" he yelled as he started to hurl debris out of the way, trying to find where his team-mate might have been buried. Her sandform never entered into his mind, all he could imagine was her crushed under the rubble.

Sand started to spiral up from between the stones, gathering in a large cloud before concealing in her human form again. "I'm fine, Colossus. They got away." Sooraya sounded frustrated. "We'll report in and go find the others. I hope they've had better luck than we did."
