Dr Sarah and Laura are out for a food run when they are tracked down by the very people they have been running from for 11 months.

Walking down the aisle of the small town store, trailing behind Sarah, Laura's eyes scanned the different types of cereal. "Is Fruity Pebbles good?"

The older woman stopped in front of the aforementioned cereal and picked up a box, turning it so she could show the ingredients to her. “Nutritionally they’re not the most beneficial. Hydrogenated palm and corn glycerides are some of the first ingredients. However-“ She smiled at Laura, “They do taste pretty good. We can get them if you want.”

Laura’s life had been nothing but specially engineered foods designed for maximum nutritional benefit. The colorful cereal was the least Sarah could do to begin to try and make up for that. For everything.

Laura picked up a box and placed it into the cart, "What in this store is nutritionally most beneficial to eat?" Peeking into the cart at the cookies she had already placed there, "I don't think most of these things here fall in that category." She joked.

“Whole foods, typically. Fruits, vegetables, eggs, salmon in particular. It’s an excellent source of the fatty acids needed for proper brain function.” Sarah scanned the aisle for anything else they might need and continued along. “Things like cookies and cereal tend to be more calorically dense than nutrient dense. They’ll fuel your body, but in the long run you need a balance to maintain peak performance.” It was important to teach Laura these things, even if the teen likely wasn’t paying much attention.

They passed a group of teens, probably around Laura's age, on the phone watching something and then laughing. "Should we get salmon for dinner?" Laura turned to look at Sarah but it was the odd behavior of the person behind them. Her attention went from relaxed to high alert as she began to scan the area and already picked out four men that Laura had never seen before on their weekly visits into the store and around town. "Sarah, we should go." She said in a low tone.

Dr. Kinney picked up her purse and abandoned the cart, ushering Laura towards the door as discreetly as possible. “Who do you see Laura?” Had the program found them already? They were finally beginning to be comfortable in this town.

That was the first mistake, she supposed. Thinking they could ever be comfortable.

"Four men." She grabbed Sarah's arm as the one she saw earlier started to make his way towards them. "More outside." Laura whispered. It felt like time slowed down as Laura assessed the situation and the teens near them laughed again. The man reached into his pocket as Laura reached over for a can of Spaghetti Os and threw it right as his head and the tranquil gun fell to the floor.

The teens stopped laughing as they switched their attention to Laura, Sarah, and the man on the floor. The sounds of heavy military vehicles could be heard outside. Laura ran over to the fallen man and searched him and found a regular gun and slid it back over to Sarah. She pointed down the aisle and mouthed "Hide."

As much as it pained her to leave, Sarah took the gun and crouched behind the next aisle. She knew that Laura knew what she was doing, had been part of why she knew. Switching off the safety, she checked to see where the rest of the men were.

Laura stayed low until she reached the end of the aisle and listened as two claws started to appear out of her fists. Looking back down the aisle, she saw the teens looking at her with their phones out. She put a finger to her lips at them before another man round the corner and was welcomed with a slash to the legs, falling to the floor with a thud and Laura delivered a swift kick to the face. Her claws retracted as she picked up the other tranquilizer gun as the third guy rounded the corner. Her foot claw came out as she kicked into the man's legs as he screamed out in pain as he fell to the floor. Laura stood up and shot him in the chest.

Hearing chatter coming from one of the knocked out men, bending down she patted them down until she found a small radio, "Bingo." She said, something Riley would say when she found something. On the radio, someone was barking orders to surround the place. Heading to the front door, locking it, and then pulled down the security gates. Laura looked at some town folks, "I recommend hiding towards the back of the store. Stay low and stay hidden.." Her attention turned back in the direction Sarah was, hoping she was alright with the fourth.

As all that was happening, Sarah had taken the opportunity to catch the final assailant unawares, cracking him in the back of the head with the butt of the gun. She pulled some zip ties out of her purse and handed two to Laura. “Here. Are you okay?”

"Yeah." She looked down at the zip ties. "We'll have to come up with an escape plan." Laura looked back to the front and headed back to the front to look out the window from the corner. "Five vehicles. About two dozen individuals. I might be able to take them on, if we can lure them in in small batches." Might was a big word.

Dr. Kinney finished securing the man she had taken out and glanced to where Laura was standing. "We should try and send the civilians out before that. It would not be good if anyone got hurt." She has grown attached to the residents of this town in the weeks they have been there, and would hate for any of them to be hurt because of her. "The back will be more secure. We can barricade ourselves in there."

Laura nodded, "That sounds like the best course of action." She closed her eyes as if she was concentrating. "They are making their way towards the back. I'll go make sure it is secure" She turned towards Sarah, "We'll get out of this." And then left to go and make sure the little market was on lockdown.

Unknown to Laura and Sarah, their little stunt had been uploaded to youtube, labeled “Mutant VS Men in Black”
