Garrison runs into Jubilee in the other dimension.

Jubilee blinked, her eyes taking a moment to register what she was seeing. She hadn’t expected to need to visit this world herself but with all hands on deck needed to keep it stable, she couldn’t say no.

She took a moment to look around, trying to situate herself in her current physical reality. It looked like a school bathroom.

She was definitely way too old for this shit.

Kane checked his watch. It was a crappy watch. "Um, why am I outside the girls bathroom?"

Jubilee looked down at the small baggy she held in her hand, small, with and round with a 3 on one side and a C|BA on the other. Ritalin, 20mg given the 3. Huh.

Apparently other world her was a drug dealer. The universe’s had a weird sense of irony, that’s for sure.

She headed for the bathroom exit, determined to figure out just who she was while she had the chance.

"Hey Lee. Any luck on the missing device?"

“Nope, least, not unless someone’s hidden it in a cistern and like, dude no. Nobody would be that gross.”

Jubilee pushed the small bag into the back pocket of the cargo pants her teenage self apparently wore and tried to get used to being in a younger body again. She’d forgotten what it felt like not to know what weather was coming just from the aches in her neck and back.

“Looks like my teen counterpart is the local dealer, so that’s a blast from the past.”

"I guess it fits the skater persona. Man, I'm oddly jealous everyone else gets to be cool." Kane said. The bad haircut, skinny frame and vintage TSR t-shirt told you almost all you needed to know about him in high school.

“At least you’re not a narc,” Jubilee noted as she realised why her arms were warm. She was wearing some kind of arm covering that reminded her of Avril Lavigne. Was she popular in the 90s? “Do you think I’m an Avril fan?”

"Everyone was at the time. Didn't you read your dossier?"

“Sure, yesterday.” Jubilee replied, starting to walk down the hall. Best not to be caught hanging around a bathroom unless she wanted to try answering difficult questions. “Didn’t think I’d actually need to be over here, like, there’s a bunch of people better than me to do this.”

"Aren't you the spy? I figured this would be just another day at the office for you."

Jubilee was about to respond but had to pause as one of the other students approached them, seeming to want something. It had been a very long time since she’d been a teenager but as Garrison had mentioned, she was a spy.

She turned the disaffected youth attitude up to 11 and followed through a complicated hand shake as if she did it every day.

“Yo, what’s up?” She drawled.

“You going to the party tonight?”

She had no idea what party the kid was talking about but when had she ever in any universe said no to one? Still, disaffected youth. She couldn’t be eager.

“Dude, depends. Who’s gonna be there?”

Kane just faded into the background, ignored by the more popular kids.
