Terry shares the exciting news with Jean...
Terry snatched up her phone as soon as it rang, throwing herself backward onto the pile of pillows at the head of the bed as she answered the call. "I'm sendin' you a picture, give it a sec t'come through," she said, moving the phone from her ear to send the picture of her hand with the ring on it to Jean. "There, it's sent," she continued, mobile back at her ear.
There came a moment of silence, then another, before..."What?" Jean asked, voice laced with surprise and happiness.
"I know," Terry laughed, holding her hand out for a moment so the ring caught the light just right. "Kyle asked m'last night. I wanted t'tell y'immediately, but y'were sleeping." She laughed again, giddy. Her voice turned suddenly serious as she asked, "You'll be m'maid o'honour, right?"
"I'd be honored," Jean said, giggling a bit over the phone. "With that kind of news you could've definitely woken me up with minimal grumbling."
"Well, if the sheer number o'texts didn't wake y'up, I thought callin' wasn't likely t'do it," Terry said, grinning again. "Anyhow, probably your man wouldn't've appreciated the middle o'the night excitement, so's all for the best."
"He would have had to deal with it," Jean said. "Okay, so I need to see this ring in person. Are you at the mansion?"
"I am... meet y'in the third floor common room?" Terry grinned, already pulling herself right back out of the pile of pillows.
