Angelo goes for a brief visit with Sarah in the medlab, and catches her up on some things.

As soon as he saw the Professor's post about Sarah being awake, Angelo headed down to the medlab, fully prepared to wait his turn to see her as long as it took, and abide by any rules the doctors laid down. He just wanted to see for himself she was recovering. Arriving at the room she was in, he knocked on the door and waited for the doctor to wave him inside.

Sitting up in bed, Sarah had a laptop balanced on her legs, scrolling idly through the journal system. Closing it when the she noticed the door opening, it only took her a second to distinguish who her visitor was. "Hey."

Angelo smiled slightly. "Hey. They're not gonna let me stay long, but I just thought I'd come see how you're doin'."

"Fifteen minutes, I know. They've already chased Shinobi out twice." She gave herself a look-over, as if considering just how she was doing, and shrugged. "Still kicking." And then looking down at her bandaged legs, she added, "though obviously, not."

Angelo chuckled. "Not for the next little while, no. Not as long as for most of us, though."

"Perks of the mutation," she shrugged, "along with not dying or something. Organ regeneration is sort of handy."

"D'you know you could do that, before this?" he asked curiously.

"Not a clue. I don't regularly puncture internal organs just to see what'll happen."

He grinned wryly. "No, I guess not."

"So it looks like I caused enough trouble the past few days without actually even being here," she said, with an amused look, "that's talent right there."

He quirked an eyebrow. "Ah. You've been readin' the journals then? Or did Shinobi tell you?"

"I just glanced through. Haven't gotten to reading most of it." She shrugged again. "Not particularly sure if want to either."

"Nah, you probably don't. Got a bit repetitive after the first couple of comments from everybody."

"As always." She ran her fingers idly along the scars on the top of her right hand. This was the longest she could ever remember having them. "People over it now?"

"Seem to be, more or less. Not sure when I'll be talkin' to Nathan again, though - he didn't take too well to findin' out about that first e-mail you sent, and us not tellin' anyone about it. An' guess who got to be on the receivin' end?"

She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms tightly across her chest. "What the hell were they going to do, drag me back? Like fuck." Grinning, she added, you're always in the wrong place at the wrong time, you know that?"

Angelo grinned back at her, ruefully. "Yeah. An' the wrong place this time happened t'be that little dock thing by the lake."

She raised an eyebrow in amusement, a slow grin forming on her face. "He throw you in?"

He nodded. "Telekinetically. Then got me back out when I told him I can't swim, but only to yell at me some more. An' this was before he twigged to the e-mail thing, it was just about stuff on the journals."

"And the bastard likes to lecture me on how immature I am. How'd he find out about that email anyway?"

"He asked if I'd known in advance, he'd've picked it up if I'd lied - telepath, remember - so I told him you'd sent it, nothin' else. An' then I was apparently projectin' its exact contents an' who you sent it to."

"Brilliant. I'd still like to know what the fuck they thought they were going to do if they knew about it."

He shrugged. "Probably much the same's they did, but with more information 'bout who they'd be dealin' with."

"Except it wasn't their fight. There's a -reason- I didn't ask for their help." She shrugged, stretching out gingerly and leaning back onto her pillow.

Angelo nodded, glancing sideways at where the doctor was hovering in the doorway, obviously hinting that it was time for him to leave. "Yeah, I guess. Glad they found you, though."

"Somebody'd have figured it out eventually. I went home," she said, making it a point to ignore the doctor hovering in the door. "Shinobi knew exactly what I was doing."

"Yeah, he told me. Figured he would, anyway. Kinda hard to hide it from him, even if you'd wanted to." He stretched, preparing to get up.

"Well, thanks for stopping by," she said nearly resignedly. This whole fifteen minute thing sucked. "I'll talk to you later."

Angelo nodded. "Definitely. I'll be by soon, an' hopefully they'll let me stay longer then." He stood and headed for the door, turning to wave before walking out.
