last Tuesday Clarice stumbles into Sarah's room on her way to the elevator and they have a delusional chat. Clarice finally gets some sleep.

Stumbling out of the medlab, Clarice headed towards Sarah's room blindly, not noticing she had turned away from the elevator leading to her room. Little sleep and
too much junkfood along with way too much stress will do that to a person, but fortunantely it was mostly over. For the moment.

Inside Sarah's room was pretty empty now, with the occasional object left out for one reason or another. Sprawled out on her bed, Sarah was watching the still connected TV, channel surfing. There was never anything good on.

Blinking randomly, Clarice couldn't figure out why the elevator lights were flashing and Sarah was watching it. "Sarah?" she asked, peeking in the room. "Why're you
making the elevator lights flash?"

"Elevator's down the hall glitterbug." Sarah said, not really paying much attention to her. It wouldn't be the first time Clarice had come in the room acting weird.

"Oh, right," she nodded wisely not going to be tricked, "And you don't think I know how to get from the medlab to the elevator, do you?"

"Obviously not. Because last I checked, my television was not in the elevator. Turn around out the door and to your left." She dropped the remote on the bed beside her,
stretching out.

This made the purple girl pause, some little part of her brain said Sarah was right. "I heard you were leaving," she wandered in an sat down on the floor cross-legged.

"End of the week, yeah." She propped herself up on her elbow, her other arm hanging off the side of the bed. "Think maybe I'll go visit Shinobi."

"Oh." Clarice blinked back tears. She was exhausted and tired and had lost her adrenaline rush somewhere and this was too much. "I don't want you to," she sniffled.

If Sarah had been looking away, she'd have done a double take. That was quick. "Sorry glitterbug. I can't stay here."

"I know," Clarice nodded, she really did, but she didn't like it. "I'm not going to make you or whatever. But it sucks the sweat off a dead man's balls. You're my friend."

"I thought I was the girl pressuring you into being her minion?" She gave her a curious look. "Doesn't sound like a friend to me."

Groaning, Clarice tipped over and laid on the floor. "I'm stupid, we all know this. I'm getting better. And I'm sorry too." She sighed, "I got in a screaming match with
Cecelia about you. She thought you should be in jail."

Sarah shrugged. "Well technically, I should. I know that. Doesn't mean I regret it, or that I wouldn't do it again. Guess that's why I'm crazy."

"I know. But when it happened, I was...stupid. I didn't think. I thought since then. A lot. I don't agree with what you did, yadda yadda yadda. But," Clarice paused,
collecting her scattered thoughts "Stuff's happened since then. I see more now how it happened. I don't like it, but I can't change it. So I'm still sorry for being a brat."

"Forgiven." A slow smile formed, and she rolled over to pat Oscar on the other edge of the bed. "You need help getting back to the elevator?"

"Nah, I can find it," amazing how a little heart to hearts could bring a person back to reality, Clarice reflected. "I need to sleep, but you're going to have a good bye
party, right?"

She nodded, and rolled back over again. "If I can smuggle you all out before I leave, yeah."

"Good." Clarice stood, shuffling to the door, "And remember, never eat yellow snow."
