truecolorsdazzle: Hey kiddo!

myowneviltwin: Ms. Blaire! Hey. How are things on the new sod? :)

truecolorsdazzle: ... oh! Gotcha. Not bad. Things are pretty quiet around here, really. In an almost scary "oh my god something's up and we're all gonna die" kind of way at times, but hey. ;) And how're things on Muir Island? Everyone behaving themselves?

myowneviltwin: Yep. And I managed to bribe everybody into not killing me about the ride here--I was kinda, um, humming, for a while, without realizing it was bugging people. Dr. MacTaggart gave us the tour today and I think we're doing heavy lifting tomorrow.

truecolorsdazzle: What did you bribe 'em with, fudge? ;) Sounds like you're being kept busy - that's good. Let me know how things go later on? And I do the humming thing too when I'm stressed or stuff like that too... anything in particular bothering you, or just the trip?

myowneviltwin: Yeah, but _you_ can carry a tune, remember? :) Waffles and Nutella. And well, I'm kinda worried about Kitty, but I dunno how much of that is just being over here. How's she doing?

truecolorsdazzle: Ooh. Now I'm craving waffles, Nutella and bananas. Maybe I can talk Sam into making me some... Kitty's been - very quiet since the weekend. She introduced me to her parents on Saturday...

myowneviltwin: Oh, you met them too? And, um . . . not-talking quiet, or disappearing-off-somewhere-probably-with-her-laptop-all-day quiet?

truecolorsdazzle: Yeah. I did. It was... interesting. She's in her hiding away from the world by working mode, yeah. I admit I'm a bit worried, but so far food has been dissapearing from the kitchen so...

myowneviltwin: Argh. I wish I'd left a dupe.

truecolorsdazzle: Have you ever left a dupe behind across that long a distance before? And I admit... I'll be doubly glad when you get back. I'm thinking Kitty needs someone to lean on right now.

myowneviltwin: Um, no, but it _could_ have worked. And yeah. Meeting her parents was--well, it was a tough day.

truecolorsdazzle: We can try out distances and stuff when you get back. And... it was something else, yeah. I'd hate to judge a situation based on a one time meeting but - they didn't look too happy.

myowneviltwin: They were fighting all the time. Just little squabbles every other sentence, and either Kitty was in the middle or they _put_ her there, and I kept trying to change the subject and it never worked for very long. Acting like a couple of cachwyr, Grandpa would've said.

truecolorsdazzle: Whatever cachwyr means, I'm pretty sure your Grandpa would have been right. Yeah, I saw some of that too - I admit I sent them off with Shelley to give Kitty something of a break early in though, and took her out for a breather... it was very frustrating.

myowneviltwin: Uh. I didn't mean to actually type that. Let's just say that when I was six and Grandpa was teaching me words I was never supposed to use in front of my parents, it meant "buttheads." But that's what they were acting like, they were hurting her and it--I was glad when I had to go warm up, but I hated leaving Kitty alone like that. And then I went and did it again coming here.

truecolorsdazzle: I'm going to keep that word in mind for future reference. I won't tell I heard it from you, promise. Yeah, they seemed pretty self-involved in their own little world. Then again, I get the distinct feeling they've always been like that in a lot of ways - they hadn't even told Kitty they'd be staying over the night. I had to tell her myself... I think she might be just taking the weekend in right now. I've been checking in on her now and then, but not pushing, you know?

myowneviltwin: Oh good, thank you--if she starts looking like she does need pushing, go ahead and take my name in vain all you want.
myowneviltwin: You know, her mom hadn't even told her dad about me at all. Or that Dr. Grey died, which means it's been like that for a while.

truecolorsdazzle: Oh boy... that must have been awkward. Both for you, and when Jean's name was brought up. I'm going to try and keep an eye on her, well, a bit more from now on. I don't think this is going to get any better.

myowneviltwin: Thanks. That's a load off my mind. I was going to e-mail her today anyway, I'll ask her not to hide so well you can't do that.

truecolorsdazzle: Heh. Not a bad idea. I'd hate to embarass her by having to sing silly "Finding Kitty" songs over the intercomm system.

myowneviltwin: Ooh, holding the rest of the school hostage. I knew I liked you. :)

truecolorsdazzle: *grin* I've been trying to keep the evil mastermind plots to a minimum, for fear of wearing out my welcome. ;)

myowneviltwin: Somehow I don't think that'll happen. Lorna would throw spoons, Sam would be sad, if he didn't run away with you anyway, Doug and I would be cranky, Mr. Summers would have to start over from scratch training somebody to get up early and exercise . . . not worth kicking you out, I say. :)

truecolorsdazzle: *LOL* Well, if you put it that way, I'm just going to have to start thinking up a few evil plans, eh?

myowneviltwin: And don't forget your Legion of Doom. ;)

truecolorsdazzle: Well no, can't forget the Legion now, can I? Tell you what, I'll go wander by Kitty's room now to check up on her... give you news later if she doesn't herself. Sounds good?

myowneviltwin: Sounds great. Thanks. I actually have to go too, I sounded out some of Dr. MacTaggart's kids about bedtime stories and they want one. :) Talk to you later.

truecolorsdazzle: Talk to you later, kiddo!
