IM log - Angelo and Paige
Sep. 17th, 2003 05:00 pmx_skin: Hey, Paige. Got time to chat?
x_foliate: Angelo! Of course! How are you?
x_skin: Oh, I'm OK. Cold, but the sweaters help some with that.
x_foliate: You poor thing. Do I need to send some more? I'll throw in tea for the heck of it.
x_skin: I don't think they'd get here before I got back. But thanks for the offer, anyway.
x_foliate: You forget where we go to school, they're all crazy with the international connections, but okay.
x_skin: Oh, but some of the kids here... It's nothing like it is back at Xavier's.
x_foliate: What do you mean?
x_skin: Their mutations, Paige... half of them need special care just to survive, and not be in pain...
x_foliate: But... why? I don't understand.
x_skin: Luck of the draw, from what Dr Essex says. I never thought I'd see myself as one of the luckier ones.
x_foliate: Oh. Okay. That must be hard.
x_skin: It's... well, to use Dr Essex's word, it's enlightening. Some of them aren't much more than babies...
x_foliate: They have mutations already?
x_skin: Yeah, it seems sometimes when it's a physical mutation, it manifests at birth - or before.
x_foliate: I've never heard of that. Wow.
x_skin: Nor had I, but then I didn't really know much about mutancy at all before I came to the mansion.
x_foliate: It's hard to research it. Keep coming up with hate speakers. It's discouraging.
x_skin: I never really tried, to be honest. Wasn't interested in the deeper issues of it, back then.
x_foliate: It was just knowledge about my brother, at first. I wasn't interested before that either; had other things to do.
x_skin: So, how's things going back at the mansion?
x_foliate: Quiet. Frighteningly so.
x_skin: With Sarah around? Surely not.
x_foliate: That's the problem. Sarah is doing her best super-agent impersonation at the moment and I seem to be powerless to stop her.
x_skin: Oh? What's she up to?
x_foliate: I have no clue, honestly, but I assume it's something no good. It's Sarah after all.
x_skin: Well, I'm sure if it was something really bad, the staff would have stopped her by now.
x_foliate: We seem to be lacking staff. Well, I've seen Ms. Frost around but... it's Ms. Frost.
x_skin: Really? But Dr MacTaggart and Ms. Munroe were the only ones who came with us. Where are the others?
x_foliate: Scott and Em are off doing something or other. Lorna is gone to see her mother I think. Ms. Braddock is... well not sure where she is. Pete is still overseas.
x_skin: Oh, right. ...And Jono?
x_foliate: Jono's here still.
x_skin: How is he?
x_foliate: He's okay as far as I know.
x_skin: Only as far as you know? Hmmm?
x_foliate: Er?
x_skin: Oh, come on now. He hasn't been lurking in the rec room scaring off the newbies so you two can have some... alone time?
x_foliate: All the newbies are on the trip with you, Angelo.
x_skin: Point taken. And nice avoidance of the rest of what I said.
x_foliate: I was not avoiding! I merely had nothing to say on the subject.
x_skin: Sure you didn't. Although if you really didn't, I'll have to have a little chat with Jono when I get back.
x_foliate: I'm afraid I'm not understanding. What would you be discussing with Jono?
x_skin: Paige. You're seventeen. And farmgirl or not, I refuse to believe you don't know what I'm talking about. You two would be so cute together.
x_foliate: !!! Oh my... Well, I'm at a loss for words.
x_skin: Come on! I saw you in the rec room, remember? You know I did. You blushed.
x_foliate: I blush a lot.
x_skin: Only for a reason, though, right?
x_foliate: Well, yes. That IS what blushing is, after all. Unless you have a fever, I guess. But that's more of a glassy look. Was I glassy?
x_skin: No, you weren't glassy. You blushed, because you saw me watching you and Jono. I totally approve.
x_foliate: Shouldn't you be blushing because of watching Jono and myself?
x_skin: If you'd been doing anything, sure. But you weren't. And that's what I have to talk to Jono about.
x_foliate: But who is to say Jono would like to "do" anything with me as you so put it? I mean... yeah.
x_skin: I watch people, chica. I see things other people might not notice. It's a survival skill. I'm to say he would, is who. Just to give an example, I saw him looking at you and pretending to read...
x_foliate: Oh. Well. I mean, I'm not to say that I wouldn't like the affections but... I guess I'm somewhat paranoid.
x_skin: Well, trust me on this, you don't need to be.
x_foliate: Thank you. I think. Oh my, I'm going to set this room on fire.
x_skin: Yes, it was a compliment. And have I made you blush again?
x_foliate: Maybe.
x_skin: ...Good? Anyway, I should probably go get some sleep now. I think Dr MacTaggart's putting us all to work in the morning, moving stuff.
x_foliate: Yeah, sleeping might be good. Silly. Sleep well, Angelo.
x_skin: I will. I'll try to post at least once more before we come back.
x_foliate: You're too good to me. Thanks.
x_skin: Can't have you worrying too much, can I?
x_foliate: You're just worried about what I might do to your room.
x_skin: Well, there is that. But I don't think you'd be allowed to do anything too bad, so it's mostly that I don't want you fretting. Anyway, Alex might have something to say about it too, you know.
x_foliate: I'll make sure it's just in your section of the room. Now, shoo.
x_skin: Goodnight!
x_foliate: Night.

Date: 2003-09-18 02:02 pm (UTC)Sure she has. Sarah's mutation was like that.
I assume it's something no good. It's Sarah after all.
*strikes best Dr. Evil pose* Muahahahahaha.

Date: 2003-09-18 10:27 pm (UTC)I think she assumes that Sarah's mutation developed like hers. Really doesn't know that much about her.
Or she was in shock. Whatever the reason, ignore the loophole, please move away.
