Alex creped slowly to the door of Scott's suite, opening the door as quietly as he could. Carefully, he creped into the room, looking for his brother when he heard a noise from the bed room. Peeking into the room, he saw Scott lying in bed on his back reading. Grinning, Alex backed up into the living room, then took a running dive to tackle Scott's lower body on the bed, grinning up at him. "Hey big brother, whatcha doin'?"

Scott ooofed loudly. Theatrically, more than anything else - he'd heard Alex come in and seen him launch into the running leap, even if Alex had thought he was being sneaky. "Get off," he said fondly as Alex tumbled over onto the other side of the bed. "What are you trying to do, break me? I'm old and decrepit, remember..."

Alex snorted and rolled his eyes, as he laid on his back next to Scott. "Oh sure, little ole' me break the leader of the mighty X-Men. Like that would ever happen....and seriously, whatca doin'?"

"Just reading," Scott said, closing the book and waving it at Alex idly. "Something Shan lent me. I'm supposed to be taking time for myself and all, remember..."

"Damn right you are... but reading is so boring!" Alex pulled the book out of Scott's hands and threw it onto the floor. "You need to do something more fun, your getting moopy again, so much so I'm afraid to ask what happened."

Scott gave him a mildly aggravated look and sat up, retrieving the book and setting it on the night table. "Reading is not boring. And nothing happened, so don't go getting all worried on me." He looked back at Alex, his expression softening. "You doing okay?" he asked quietly, knowing how much of a shock it must have been to come back and find out what had happened to Manuel and Amanda.

Alex shrugged. "I'll admit, it was hard hearing about what happened, I mean I was only raped physically, Manuel, she raped mentally. It's a horrifying thought. But I've resolved myself to help him, it's the least I can do, though Lorna isn't thrilled..." then he looked up a smile on his face again. "And yes reading is boring. We're doing something, right now!"

Scott opened his mouth, then closed it, giving himself a moment to process all of that. "Something as in?" he asked a bit warily, then swatted at Alex lightly as his little brother sat up and bounced off the bed. "I was rather enjoying my book, you know. And I've got to confess, I'm kind of tired..."

Alex grinned from the door way. "Come on old man, you can't be that tired. Movie maybe? We can go out or stay here doesn't matter to me..."

"Movie wouldn't be bad, I suppose," Scott said, pushing himself up off the bed. "I think I might even have microwave popcorn around here... why don't you pick something and I'll look." As he headed out following into the main room of the suite, turning towards the kitchenette, he gave his brother a stern look. "And no snarky comments about my taste in movies. I'm old, remember?"

Alex stuck out his tongue. "I was thinking something more modern anyway. I hear we have the Bourne Supremacy, and I know you like action movies..." He trailed off as he stood in the doorway of the suite.

"The Bourne Supremacy..." Scott grinned wryly. "Wouldn't mind that, actually. I've heard it's good. Although I forget who saw it and told me it reminded them a little too much of Nathan."

Giggling Alex made a face, scrunching up his nose. "You have got to be kidding...Well it must be interesting then! So I guess that's a yes? The old foggy will watch the new movie?" He smirked as he dashed out the door to grab the movie from the DVD collection.

Scott shook his head. "Hyperactive," he murmured fondly and headed to the kitchen. By the time Alex returned with the DVD, he had made an extra-large bowl of popcorn and gone across the hall to steal some soda from Hank, since that wasn't something he or Sean generally had in their fridge.

"I see you found it okay," he said as Alex bounced back into the room. Really, calling it walking was entirely inaccurate. Where did he get that much energy? Ought to bottle it and sell it...

"Of course it was right on top!" He practically skipped over to the DVD player and got everything set up in about a minute flat. Then he bounded over to sit beside his brother, grabbing a soda. "See, this is much better then reading!"

Scott yawned widely as he settled himself on the couch beside Alex. "If I fall asleep on the couch you're not allowed to draw a mustache on me or anything. Seriously."

"Can I poke you back awake? Please?" Alex made puppy dog eyes at him, even thought he was going to do it anyway if Scott fell asleep.

Scott gave him a suspicious look. "If you feel you really must," he said, a faint smile playing on his lips as he turned his attention back to the movie. "Maybe this'll be interesting enough to keep me away. I don't know... it'd have to be pretty good to outdo my book..."

"Of course I must, it's my job." Then he settled into the couch, His head on Scott's shoulder. "What in the world were you reading then could be more interesting then this?"

"It's called 'The Stone Raft'," Scott said. "It's, uh, about Spain breaking off from the rest of Europe..." At Alex's perplexed look, he shrugged, smiling. "It's interesting. Kind of hard to describe. Allegorical?"

"Allegorical?" And this was a boy who was taking the SATs next month. He just raised his eyebrows. "Umm..right sounds...interesting?"

"Shan's trying to broaden my horizons," Scott said, his lips quirking. "A noble endeavor." He tapped Alex's knee and then indicated the television. "Look. Starting."

"You should broaden them to more interesting horizons at least..."Alex mumbled before snuggling in closer to his brother to watch the movie.
