Hello Alison. I don't mean to bother you but I was hoping you wouldn't mind helping me out with Jamie. I understand that you're the counselor here and that's the reason I want to work with you. Charles asked me to talk to Jamie, to attempt to figure out why he can't currently utilize his powers.
I think I may have.
It's two-fold, really. The first piece of the puzzle is that Jamie apparently doesn't control the beginning part of his powers. He's subconsciously calling forth dupes when he's applied with kinetic energy (bumps, falls) but I believe that, eventually with time and training, he'll be able to gain control over that particular part of his powers. And I believe that subconsciously he's built a 'wall', per say, around himself.
After what happened during the storm, I think he's scared to do it again (not that I can blame him, really).
What I'm proposing is that you and I, along with Kitty since he's comfortable with her, obviously, start sometime this week trying to see if we can get that part of his mind to realize that it's not in any danger anymore and see if we can get Jamie to get control over making his dupes.
I don't want to overstep my responsibilites, though...and besides, I would be delighted to work alongside of you (those books are yours if you want them, by the way).
Feel free to stop by and have a chat with me on this. ...it seems my coffee pots been getting quite a work out lately and I'd hate to have it stop being useful.

I thought it might be something like that, especially after Henry and I ruled out physiological causes.
Speaking of which, Alison, I'm forwarding to you Henry's findings from our examination of Jamie's dead dupe, and the theory he's concocted regarding the boy's powers. I'd like to know what you think; it appears that Jamie may have more potential than even he realizes.
