Remy decides to wake Jake up...
Airhorn. There is nothing as loud and as terrifying as an airhorn going off next to your ear at 6:30 in the morning. When it happened, it could only mean something bad, like a bombing run and smashing into an iceberg. That instinct was why Jake immediately went into defensive mode as he woke with a start.
"What? Who?" he exclaimed in shock, punching wildly towards the shape near by. His eyes cleared enough from sleep for him to recognize the laughing red on black eyes, and his leg spun quickly off the bed to kick the bastard in the shin.
"Ow, hey!" Remy said, hopping around on his uninjured leg. He gave Jake another blast with the airhorn for good measure, watching the shapeshifters ears actually spin through a set of changes in response to the noise. Jake reached out and covered the horn with his hands, panting wildly. "So, you finally up?"
"I.. hate... you," Jake got out, trying to see if Remy was still within kicking range. "SO much. What the hell are you doing here? The mansion better be under attack," he added, narrowing his eyes.
"Non. De mansion is not under attack. Besides, if it was, Remy go wake up de femme dat can kill people wit' dere on fillings. No offense, but you not exactly de shield to hide behind." Remy said and flipped the air horn on to Jake's bed. Obviously they'd finally found him a decent room.
Jake grabbed the air horn and hid it quickly under his pillow. This was way to early for this. And Remy was being way too chirpy. Jake thought longingly of his guns which were under lock and key.
"So, dere's something very important dat I wanted to talk to you 'bout. Been considering it for a while." Remy began solemnly.
This didn´t sound good. Of course, Jake was still too stuck on the concept of Remy being in his bedroom at all, to fully appreciate the horror of that beginning. He settled with glaring sleepily. "What?"
"We been working too hard, homme. Both of us 'bout dis close to burning out, and de school needs us too much to risk dat. So," Remy smiled and spread his hands. "Remy giving both of us de day off."
Jake blinked. Remy was still standing there, beaming. He blinked again. "You woke me up to tell me that?" Remy nodded happily. "I´m going to kill you now," Jake informed him.
"Figured. Dat's why Remy came prepared." LeBeau said and snapped on his lighter, holding it avoid his head. It took Jake exactly a half second to realise what was going on, and another fraction to open his mouth to protest before the ice-cold sprinklers in his room went off.
