Tuesday morning, Alex and Lorna arrive in Anguilla for the vacation that Nate and Moira gave her as a thank you for the wedding catering. There be no plot here. There shall be no plot here. This is a plot free, angst-free and entirely content free zone.

Anguilla was stunning. Lush and green even from the air. Lorna had never been to Hawaii and so didn't know if the satin-smooth air was the same there as it was when they walked out of the airport. It was a small island so even this far inland, she could feel the sea breeze and smell a heady bouquet of flowers. She stole a glance at Alex to see what he thought. "I don't know if the hotel has a shuttle. It's not in the reservations."

It smelled different, that was the first thing Alex noticed. Caribbean air was sweet, but not nearly as sweet as the good old Pacific. Still...the sea air was ten times better than New York any day. His smile was practically glowing. "Let's just catch a cab then. The quicker we dump our stuff, the quicker we can hit the beach!"

Lorna nodded and looked around for somewhere to hail a cab, something that New York had made her good at thankfully. Instead she laughed and grabbed Alex's arm. "Nevermind, looks like Nathan and Moira thought of that for us." She pointed at the casually dressed man with the sign that said Summers-Dane. Nice of them to have thought of getting a cab ahead of time.

Following her gaze, his grin got slightly wider. "Trust Nathan to think of everything." Alex picked up both their suitcases and carried them over to the man. "I believe you are looking for us." The man nodded and took one of the suitcases from him. With his free arm, Alex wrapped it around Lorna's waist, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

Lorna smiled and turned her head to intercept the kiss then rested her head on his shoulder briefly. They followed the driver to his glossy black car. He resisted Alex's efforts to help stow the luggage and held the door open for them to get inside. Lorna giggled, "I feel like I'm going to prom or something." The leather interior was cool against her legs. She tugged automatically on the skirt of her sundress.

Since he didn't feel the cold leather thanks to baggy shorts, Alex swept Lorna up into his lap, cuddling her against him. "Does this mean we get to make out in the limo?" He smirked at her, wiggling his nose playfully.

She settled herself comfortably in his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Then it really would feel like prom. Except without the three other couples. And my date wasn't nearly as hot." She kissed him, "And you, I love."

"I didn't go to our junior prom and I was at the mansion since so I'll take your word on it." Pulling her closer, Alex started to make good on his threat. "Though I doubt I would have a found a girl nearly as beautiful you who would lower her standards to go with a bum surfer."

"I…mm," she began then was distracted by his mouth on her jaw, "I don't believe that. I think you were just too busy surfing to notice the girls throwing themselves in your path."

"Riiiight." He paused a moment before moving down to suck lightly on her neck. "And I still want to know why you don't have exs calling off the handle. I don't see how any male with eyes could not want a second in your company..."

"Most of them I haven't seen we broke up." She pulled back a bit as the car stopped, "Damn, short trip." She kissed him as the driver opened the car door and coughed politely.

Grinning brightly, Alex didn't move her from his lap. Instead, he carefully manuvered them out with Lorna in his arms, setting her down on the curb outside the hotel. After the driver shooed him away from the trunk and the luggage, Alex took her hand and led her inside.

Lorna pulled the reservations from her purse as they reached the front desk. The beautiful woman behind the counter smiled at them as she reviewed the paperwork, "Just married?" she asked brightly.

Alex stopped short and blushed deeply, though it wasn't like he was totally against the idea. "Nah, just a vacation on a beautiful island with a beautiful woman." His smile hadn't faltered as he leaned one arm on the counter. "Maybe someday."

Lorna blushed as well and took her credit card back, handing the room keys to Alex. "This was a gift, actually," she added.

The woman laughed, "Someone is telling you someday should be soon then. Maybe the island will inspire you. Enjoy your stay." She signalled a bellhop who told them he'd show them to their suite.

Wrapping an arm around her shoulder, Alex leaned in to whisper in her ear, "If he booked us the Honeymoon suite, that man is so dead..."

"It's not on the reservation," Lorna murmured back, "I think she was just teasing." But she followed the bellhop with no little trepidation. Nate would indeed be dead if he'd done that.

Happily the suite was just a suite and not one of any particular name. Not that it wasn't opulent enough all on its own. Lorna squealed in delight at the terraces and the marble bath before flinging herself onto the huge bed in the master bedroom.

Lorna may have enjoyed the inside, but Alex's mouth dropped open when he saw the view of the ocean from the room's spacious balcony. After staring for a long while through the open door, he went to join Lorna on the bed, laying on his bck beside her. "You know...I kinda like it here."

Lorna rolled over and propped herself up on Alex's chest, "I still think Nate is off the hook. Though I can't imagine how much this cost." She kicked her legs idly. "So what do you want to do? Unpack or skip that part and head for the beach? Do you see that water?"

"I'm trying hard not to think about it." He answer in response to the cost, thought he had to fight the immediate response to jump up when beach was mentioned. "Love, what do you think? If you weren't beside me, I don't think I could have stopped staring at those bodacious waves."

She laughed, "Okay, beach it is. Let me change." She sat up and stretched, working out the kinks of the long plane ride. "I wonder when cooking lessons are."

"How can you think about cooking in a place like this?" Was his automatic response, as he pulled his t-shirt over his head, losing his shorts also so he could remove the containment suit. "Wait,sorry...dumb question."

"Daniel Orr is the chef here. He's world famous. His restaurants in New York are impossible to get into." She unzipped her suitcase and rummaged through it for her swimming suit rather than her bikini, assuming that Alex would probably drag her into the water with him. "When Nate told me that he gave lessons…Well, it's good that I was sitting down." She glanced over her shoulder at him and smiled, "You're gorgeous."

Considering he'd just removed the suit and was standing there in his underwear rifling through his duffle bag for a pair of trunks, Alex blushed. "Well," He said changing the subject, "I'm glad you'll get more out of this trip then me draggin you into the ocean. Have I ever told you how sexy you look when you're cooking?"

"Not in so many words but why do you think I always chase you out when I'm trying to make dinner? Distracting as all get out." She laughed as she slipped her straps over her shoulders then shrugged back into her sundress. "Ready, love? I'll race you to the water?"

As she'd changed, he sided up behind her and playfully pinched her butt. "See if you can keep up love!" He giggled before dashing out of the room.

She shrieked and gave chase, catching him just as they hit the edge of the surf and knocking him into the water. "Gotcha."

Grabbing her hand as he fell, Alex pulled Lorna into the sand with him, cuddling her close as the tide came up around them. "I love you..."

She smiled and kissed him. "I know."
