Haven't seen Mr. Summers around, but I'm sure he'll get this note eventually.

Professor, I did a little more digging on the so-called Friends of Humanity. They may be Humanity's friends but they're certainly not ours. They're not putting out much 'offical' information, but from what I can tell they started in Philly - the first news stories of activities they were claiming responsibility for came this summer in June, and they'd spread to Pittsburgh before July and were all along the East Coast by the end of summer.

Unfortunately, they're not stupid to be attaching names to any of this, but I get the feeling from comparing news stories that they're probably set up like the Klan, with a 'grand dragon' or whatever they call it in Philly and then local leaders in different regions. That might explain why I'm not finding a lot of stories about them down south.

Comparing dates and themes to their activities, they seem frighteningly well organized, and they're getting funding from somewhere but I can't for the life of me figure out where. I'm not seeing any government ties in any of the files I can dig up, but that doesn't mean they're not there. If you really want I can get Doug's help and we can hack the FBI files, but you're probably not thrilled by the idea so I decided not to take the initiative.

The most recent reports of activities that are known to be the FoH are a pair of incidents in St. Louis, but there's been a couple of things in San Franscisco I think are probably related which may be signs of them expanding in CA.

And here I was under the impression that mind-reading was my area. You're right, I would much rather you avoid testing the government's security; if we find ourselves in need of their information, I have other contacts I can use.

Scott has taken a team of X-Men in pursuit of a related matter; he should return in a few days, and we can look more closely into the Philadelphia organization. Thank you again, Kitty.
