Scenelet // Betsy
Aug. 10th, 2005 05:30 pmFiles in hand, Betsy exited her office and made her daily walk back to her room.
One. Turn right.
She turned the corner and headed upstairs through the back entrance.
Three more. First landing.
Taking a moment to look at her files, positive she'd forgotten something. She stopped on the steps, neurotically pilfering through them.
Moving off now....
Shaking her head, she tucked the files under her arm and climbed the stairs to the second floor. A loud bang caught her attention downstairs. The library. She peered over the railing. No errant screams of the hurt kind from that general direction. And Amanda was fine....mostly. Shrugging it off, she kept moving.
Footsteps rushing down the main staircase, indignant screams following.
Keep moving.
Waiting a moment to be sure, she pushed passed the second floor, lost in her own world. It seemed like a good day.
Yes, all clear.
Continuing her way up, Betsy reached the faculty floor, turned the corridor, and walked the length of the hall. Satisfied, she entered her quarters.
