Terry can't wait for Clarice to wake up to tell her about the night before. Clarice is half-asleep but good natured.
Backdated to Friday morning.

Terry woke up early and all at once as was her habit. But for the first time in a week, she didn't just roll back over and go back to sleep. Instead she slipped out of bed and crossed the room to the lump of blankets where her roommate was sleeping. Figuring that eight hours was plenty for anyone, Terry hopped onto the mattress and poked Clarice insistently until she woke up.

"Wah?" Clarice mumbled, gripping the covers tightly and rolling over. The alarms weren't going off so there was no reason for her to get up.

Terry poked her again, giggling. Clarice was not the most cheerful person in the mornings. "Wake up, I have something to tell you." She tugged at the blankets, trying to un-cocoon her roommate. "Come on!"

"Is the building on fire?" she asked, resisting Terry's pulling, "No. So go away...wait, did you get laid?" with this, Clarice rolled over and looked at the red head closely, before sighing, "No."

Terry made a face at her and poked her again. "No. I wouldn't sleep with someone on the first...well, I guess it wasn't even date." Terry mused then bounced and grinned at Clarice, "C'mon. You know you want to gloat and tell me you told me so."

Sitting up and brushing her hair out of her face, yup, still purple, "Why should I when you can for me?" she asked reasonably. "But I demand details!"

The bed shook as Terry bounced on it some more, "Last night! Ice cream! He kissed me again and we talked and stuff." She gave Clarice a run down of the story, explaining how Dr. Grey had come in and how they'd gone back to Bobby's room after she'd left. "Then I came back here and slept."

"Sounds good except for the end, but that can't be helped," Clarice lamented, "So that's it then? You two are a couple? And stop bouncing on the damn bed!"

"I think we are. We didn't actually define it but I think so." Terry giggled but tried to remain still though she was practically vibrating in her excitement. "We don't really want it to be a big deal though. Sean can't find out so don't tell anyone, okay? Well, except Shiro. Obviously you can tell him."

This made no sense, "Why can't your dad know? I mean, he lives here too. And he knows Bobby so it's not like he's going to disapprove. I mean, you're not dating Manuel or anything," this wasn't to say that Terry should go tell her dad first thing, but he was going to find out and sooner rather than later, so why try to hide it?

Terry made a face. "Sean doesn't have any right to know. He'll just try to be my father and give me a lecture or scare Bobby or something. It's not any of his business." She shrugged.

Groaning, Clarice fell back into her pillow. "This isn't about 'right's' or whatever, I'm not saying you should ask his permission, but you should tell him before he finds out some other way...secrets don't stay secrets for very long here. Besides, Bobby's an X-Man, he can take care of himself," oh, the melodrama.

"I don't want him to know," Terry said stubbornly, crossing her arms. "And Bobby doesn't want him to know either and that's more important anyway."

Clarice rolled her eyes, it was too early in the morning for this, "And I'm not stupid enough to tell him. I just think that you not telling him is a bad idea."

"You know that I try to speak to Sean as little as possible. I'm going to tell him this when I wouldn't tell him if I'd lost me leg." Okay, happy feelings going away. Terry frowned and crawled off the bed. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone, right?"

"I won't tell anyone, I promise," Clarice smiled, "I really am happy for you. I mean, now we can totally double date!"

Terry looked a little startled, "We haven't even been on a date yet. Should I ask him?"

There was no chance of her going back to sleep, was there? "Wake up to the new millenium, Irish, girls can ask guys out. The real question is, 'what to wear'?"

Terry grinned, "Time to go shopping?"

"Mall doesn't open until 10am. Wake me at 9:30," luck was on her side. Without waiting for a response, Clarice rolled over and burrowed back in her sheets for a little more sleep.
