After making his post to the main journal, Scott calls a very anxious Alex.

The number dialed, Scott sat down, waiting for Alex to answer. He didn't think it would take more than one ring.

It didn't. Thankfully, Alex and Jared had been having an all night Jackie Chan marathon and while Jared was replacing Shanghi Noon with Shanghi Knights, Alex had happened to check the journals. He'd seen Scott's announcement and dived to find his cell phone. Thanking god it was 3 am and most people were asleep so he could sneak out to the stairwell. "Scott?

"Alex," he said quietly. "Sorry I didn't get you before I put that post up. I should have done one before the other."

Alex just closed his eyes, curling in on himself on the bottom step. "Just...tell me what's going on Scott...please. Why are we now on alert for my girlfriend?"

Scott took a deep breath, then let it out again. "Nothing's definite yet," he said softly. He might have to give Alex more details, but he wasn't going to give them all. "We've got some evidence that she was involved in a violent incident here, enough to make it important that only people from the team try and get in contact with her, or approach her, until we figure out precisely what's going on."

Biting his lip, Alex squeezed his eyes shut. Lorna involved in a violent incident...god what was going on? "Do...do you have an leads on where she could be?"

"Not yet. But we're looking for her, Alex, I swear. We've been looking for her since you told us she wasn't at Cammy's, and at least now we know where she's been, possibly. If not where she is right now."

"Okay...I know you guys have...I just..." Alex sighed, he didn't need to say he was worried that was kind of blatant. He took a deep breath. "Thanks Scott..."

"Alex... the same is true for you, even if you're in Hawaii," Scott murmured, after a moment. "What I told the rest of the students."

"Yeah I know Scott..." He put a hand up to rub his temples, quite aware that Jared was standing over him, a concerned look on his face. "I just...still can't believe all this."

"You don't have to believe it," Scott said steadily. "Not yet. Not until we know for sure what's going on, and we may be wrong. You just can't take any chances until we know for sure."

"I'm not the hero Scott, you know that. I won't do anything, cept go to class and surf, I promise, even if I see her." It was going to be the hardest thing he'd even done but he would.

"Good," Scott said, then sighed. "Look, I've got to go, Alex. I'll get back in touch with you as soon as we know anything definite, I promise."

"Yeah, thanks for calling Scott. Love you bro." Alex took a deep breath. "I'll be okay Scott...just need to get over the shock...really."

"Try and get some rest," Scott said. "Love you too, little brother."

"Yeah. bye Scott." Pulling the phone away from his ear, Alex snapped it shut and hung his head. He felt Jared sit down beside him and put a hand on his shoulder and Alex thanked god he had a friend right then.
