Nathan and Wanda admire each other's versions of 'dressed to the nines' before heading out for a Very Important Occasion. Not all X-Men missions require leathers.
"I was going to ask you if my bowtie was crooked," Nathan's voice came from the doorway, "but I think I've been blinded." He raised an eyebrow at Wanda. "Also, there is a part of me reminding myself very energetically that I am married. Just to let you know. And wow."
Wanda laughed in delight and spun once, before stopping and winking at him. "Moira will have both of our heads," she teased, brushing out any wrinkles--imaginary or not--in the dress. It was a one piece but cut in very interesting places. And, of course, a rather stunning color of red. "You're a sight to behold yourself. You dress up nicely."
"Tuxedos," Nathan muttered, tugging at the jacket. "Call it my Bond look, I guess." He offered her a wry smile. "I'd much rather be in the leathers. But as Alison told us, it isn't that kind of mission."
"Well, there are Leathers and then there are leathers," came the response with a smirk. "Which are more fun than the normal leathers we wear."
"I have worn leathers, actually," Nathan confessed, fussing with his bowtie as Wanda checked her makeup. "Remind me to tell you the story sometime. It's rather entertaining."
"We should swap stories. Oh, stand still." Closing the make up with a snap, Wanda hurried over and fussed with his bow tie. "What did you do to this? Allow Bella to play with it?"
"It's been a while," Nathan protested in amusement, letting her fix the tie. "Moira's all busy in the lab, so I couldn't rely on her to dress me. Which I usually have to do, of course."
"Thank God that black is in, I suppose?" Wanda laughed and stepped back. "Voila, perfect if I do say so myself."
"Thank you kindly. You just about ready to go?" He grinned. "Apparently we're meant to make a discreet entrance. I told Alison I'd drive you and I in."
Wanda gave him an arched look. "My dear, do you really think we'll make a discreet entrance looking like this?"
"You have a point." Nathan, rather gallantly, offered her his arm.
Slipping it through, she beamed at him. "We'll have all the men drooling."
