Wanda's bored and trying to unwind after a stressful week when she comes across Kurt. Deciding that what he really needs is to be flirted with, she does so and then comes across an idea that even he likes.

Wanda was fidgety. There was no other way to describe it. There was no work to be done and there were no students to counsel and no X-Men missions or anything like that. And, for once, she didn't fancy a round in the gym or in the Danger Room. So she found herself poking around in Ororo's green house, it being a tad too cold to wander around outside.

Maybe she could find something in here to take her mind off of the stress and boredom she was under.

She might indeed, but perhaps not in the way she'd anticipated. Kurt was currently pottering around the greenhouse, tending some of the plants whose care he knew about.

There was a hint of playful evil in Wanda's eyes when she noticed he hadn't seen her yet and it was with great care that she snuck around. She waited until he had put down the sharp gardening tool before reaching around to poke him in the ribs, just slightly.

Kurt jumped, with a noise that was decidedly not a squeak, really, and twisted to see who it was. "Wanda! Hello..."

Wanda grinned, far too pleased with herself as she put her hands behind her back, completely innocently. "I could not resist, you were completely in your own world. How are you doing?"

"I am well, thank you. And you?"

She thought about that for a moment as she seated herself on the bench near the flowers he had been tending. "Bored," came the truthful reply. "Though greatful in a way that nothing has exploded this day."

He wandered over and sat near her, tail curling neatly behind him. "The lack of explosions is always a good thing, yes."

"Fun explosions are one thing but lately..." Wanda shook her head. "It's a miracle any of us are still around. We must be insane." She smiled at him. "In a good way, of course."

"Have we ever had fun explosions in our line of work?" he wondered idly.

"Well...okay you have a point." She stuck her tongue out at him. "~Spoilsport~," she muttered in German with a grin.

Kurt laughed a little. "In my old line of work, now, there were sometimes pyrotechnics."

"I remember the act I caught, there were some very nice flashy parts." Wanda smirked a little bit. "And then there was the pyrotechnics."

He turned slightly to look at her, mildly confused. "Flashy in what way?"

There was a blink and then a head turn. "...I meant you, Kurt," came the wry reply. He blinked at her in return and she pillowed her chin on her hand as she looked at him. It was a good thing she was not shy about being brutally honest. "I thought, back then and I still do, that you were attractive."

"...ah." Blue skin turned faintly purple as he blushed. "Thank you."

"You do not get flirted with much, do you?"

"Not especially. Not when I am not wearing the image inducer, at least."

Suddenly, Wanda had a mission. There were issues she was skirting that involved Stephen, but flirting was just fine. And Kurt very obviously needed to get used to it. And just like that, another idea was born.

"Are you free sometime this week, in the evenings?" she asked, a small, smug grin beginning to show.

"...most evenings, yes. Why do you ask?"

"How about we go dancing?"

...Blink. "Um. Certainly! What night were you thinking?"

Oh ho, she had certainly gotten his attention if the little swish of the tail was any indication. "Friday night work for you?"

"As far as I know now, Friday will be fine, yes."

Wanda rubbed her hands together in glee. "I know just the place in the city," she said, cheerfully. "It'll be good to get out and just cut loose a bit."

Kurt nodded, rapidly warming to the idea. "It should be good."

"Do you know how to drive a car? Because if you do not, we'll be stuck on my motorcycle." Though that wasn't such a bad idea.

"I... have an American licence, but I have not used it much since I came here."

"The bike it is, then. You'll just have to hold on tight." She snickered as his blush deepend. "And now, I must run, I have some shopping to do."

"All right. I will see you on Friday, if not before."

His only response was grin as Wanda slipped away, laughing, at his slightly bewildered and bemused expression.
