A prank is afoot! (and abed!)
May. 29th, 2003 04:07 pmShortly after the lecture, Jamie and Kitty adjourn for mischief. And then proceed to be cute at each other. Yeesh.
Kitty: *pops up from nowhere* So, what's this plan you need help with?
Jamie: Well, I'd really like to do something nice for Feathers, since he's been so friendly, and I thought, what better way than by leaving him a snack in his room? *holds up bag* Unfortunately, I think this birdseed is almost exactly the color of the school bedsheets, and it would be so itchy if it spilled.
Kitty: *eyes get big* Ooooh, yes. Yes yes yes yes yes!
Kitty: Unconditionally, yes!
Jamie: Except I couldn't figure out a way into his room except by fooling Piotr into letting me in, and while I think I could do that, I'd feel really bad.
Jamie: Which is where you come in. D'you know, Warren's room shares a wall with mine?
Kitty: does it really? *grins* That's perfect...
Kitty: Is he out? I can go now... It won't take me very long and I can be really quiet...
Kitty: *eyes shining brightly*
Jamie: I think he might be. *grin* You know, it's so much more fun having partners in crime.
Kitty: *puts out a hand for the bag* Lead the way then, oh fearless one.
Jamie: *hands over the bag* Follow me, oh queen of sneaks. *sudden grin* And hey, if there's any left over, get his socks, too.
Kitty: *laughs* Will do..
Kitty: ((she gets the bed liberaly, then dumps the rest into his sock drawer...))
Jamie: *waits for Kitty to reappear, then:* All set? Bed back the way it was and everything?
Kitty: *nods* Of course... Wouldn't have thought Warren would be the type to make his bed, but it almost looked like he hadn't slept in it. Who knew he'd be the neat type. *shrugs*
Jamie: Well, that's a lot easier to recreate than messy covers, so it was good luck for us. *grin* Can't wait to see his face tomorrow morning.
Kitty: *grins back* Agreed.
Jamie: Couldn't have done it without you. Thanks.
Kitty: You're welcome. Thank you for giving me the chance.
Jamie: Oh, anytime. Just keep me in mind if you have any ideas I could help with. --That don't involve dresses.
Kitty: *snickers* I still think you'd look smashing in green...
Jamie: Yes, but there's green, and then there's a green dress. I have a green sweatshirt I like.
Kitty: ah, but it's summer now. Sweatshirts will do you no good...
Kitty: But a nice breezy frock...
Jamie: I have T-shirts in every shade of green imaginable. Including neon. One of my Army cousins is stationed in Hawaii.
Kitty: Including Sam's imfamous John Deere Green?
Jamie: Heh. Yes, actually. I don't share his unnatural love for it, but that's Kentuckians for you.
Kitty: *giggles* Well then, if you're ever in need of getting into Sam's good books you could always give it to him.
Jamie: That's true. If he's got anything but good books, though, I haven't seen it. *grin* He's a good guy.
Kitty: Yeah, he is at that...
Jamie: Seems like something's been bothering him lately, though. Eh, well, maybe a good laugh at Feathers tomorrow'll cheer him up.
Kitty: *gets kinda quiet* Yeah...
Jamie: Are you okay?
Kitty: *shrugs* Well enough. Just... just confused by life.
Jamie: *nods* Life's a tricky one sometimes. Anything I can do?
Kitty: Nah, but thanks for the offer. *smiles again*
Kitty: And for the chance for mischief...
Jamie: Anytime. *grin* And if you think of something I can help with--not just a prank, even, just if you want to talk, or something--I'm always around.
Kitty: *smiles, then hugs him impulsivly* That's awfully sweet of you.
Jamie: *wide, stunned grin as he hugs back* Hey, anything for a friend.
Kitty: Yeah, but... for only having known me for a couple of weeks you're too good to me. *smiles sweetly*
Jamie: Nah. Don't have to know you that long to know what you're like. Besides, you're helping me with physics and trying to figure out my powers, and you haven't known me very long either.
Kitty: Well, that's just what I do. Present me with a problem and I try to solve it, or at least experiment on it. *laughs*
Jamie: Doesn't mean it can't also be a nice thing to do for somebody.
Kitty: I guess. Who am I to dissuade someone from thinking kind thoughts about me.
Kitty: Oh, what time is it?
Jamie: It's about... five-thirty? Getting close to dinner, anyway.
Kitty: Blast. I need to go hunt down Ms. Braddock...
Kitty: Sorry to prank and run... *smiles*
Jamie: About your poem? Good luck. *grin* And, well, make it up to me next prank.
Kitty: Thanks, and will do.
Kitty: *turns to head down the hall*
Jamie: *flops down at his desk, still grinning*

Date: 2003-05-29 05:43 pm (UTC)Though you're right, the not-knowing-words thing sucks. But you know we're always here to help and you just have to ask if you don't understand something, right?
