After a one-on-one dance lesson with Terry, Kurt has an encounter of his own with the visions.

"You are doing well", Kurt said with an approving smile as he and Terry emerged from one of the smaller dance studios. "You have been practising?"

Terry nodded, still humming the music they'd been dancing to. "Aye. I talked Bobby into learning the steps with me so that I could. This one is fun." She twirled in the corridor. "I really appreciate you giving me the private lessons. My schedule is so strange now with training."

He shrugged lightly, still smiling. "I do not have so many demands on my time that I cannot find some for extra lessons, when they are wanted. And I enjoy teaching."

"Still. Thank you." She tucked a lock of hair that had escaped her bun behind her ear. "Actually, if I can switch topics? I wanted to ask you about training. I'm scheduled for my first DR session soon and I'm convinced I'm going to mess up. Can the room handle it if I scream for real?"

"I would think so", he reassured her as they turned to walk down the corridor. "The drones may be broken, but they are meant to be. The room itself should be fine."

Terry nodded thoughtfully though she still looked a bit worried. "I picked my code name. Did I tell you?"

"Not that I remember. What are you using?"

Terry laughed and rubbed at her neck a bit sheepishly. "Jamie got a hold of me and talked me into Soundwave. I was brainwashed with American cartoon propaganda." She grinned, "Besides, it's sort of descriptive. That's pretty much what I do with my sonics."

Kurt nodded, grinning back. "And it is only a trainee name, after all. Not the one that you will eventually end up using."

Terry giggled, "Definitely not. And I don't plan on being a trainee for very long." She knew precisely how long each of the other trainees had taken to earn their blacks. She planned on besting them. Terry believed very strongly in having a goal.

"That is a fine plan to make", he said with another smile, then looked up and ahead of them, down the corridor... and went very still. "Terry? Do you see that?"

Terry looked up at him, confused by the way he stopped and then down the hallway, curiously.

His voice was strained when he continued, "It seems we are the latest to be hit by the strange visions that have been happening lately. Unless Mystique has been a double agent all this time or has had a very sudden change of heart."

Terry frowned down at the woman in leathers and took his arm, "Let's go talk to Dr. MacTaggart. She'll want to hear about this. Plus I can get a look at her Wall of Weird."

He turned away from the figment after another long moment, deliberately. "Yes. She should be told about this - and I am sure she would not mind you taking a look."

Terry led him off, refusing to look behind her. She was really beginning to hate these visions. When they were funny it was one thing. But messing with her teachers was totally unacceptable.
