x_storm: 4:29. In exactly one minute, Jamie and Kitty are due in Storm's office. In exactly /two/ minutes, if they have not shown up, she is going to go Find Them. But right now, she's sitting at her desk, ignoring the laptop in front of her, and rubbing the back of her neck.
x_crowdofone: Jamie files in right on time, his expression a bad attempt at concealing rebelliousness, a little anger, and a lot of fear.
x_kitten: *Kitty follows Jamie into the room. She looks very tired, and her eyes are dull and a little bit blood shot. There's almost a lack of expression on her face, which could be taken lots of ways. It can't be seen, but she is phased*
x_storm: Storm stands up and points to the two chairs in front of her desk. "Sit down, both of you." Her expression is absolutely blank and unreadable, but her voice is /very/ tight.
x_kitten: *sits quietly. Anyone staring at her ass would notice that she's not actually sitting on the chair, but on the air directly above it.*
x_crowdofone: Jamie sits promptly, waiting for the axe to fall.
x_storm: "First off, I want to know /exaclty/ what happened, when it happened, how it happened, and /why/ it happened." Blue eyes flick over to Jamie. "You, then Katherine. Don't try to hide anything."
x_kitten: *her voice is quiet, and without inflection*
x_kitten: Jamie said he needed my help with a prank, and I agreed. When I came to talk about it he told me what it was and I accepted. I took the bird seed and walked through the wall between his room and Mr. Worthington's.
x_kitten: Once there I unmade his bed, liberally poured birdseed on it, remade it, and placed what was left in his sock drawer, bfore returning to Jamie's room.
x_crowdofone: I--*shuts his mouth when Kitty starts* Yeah. That was what happened. *shrug* I thought it'd be funny. Like turning Sam blue, only not even that permanent.
x_crowdofone: I came up with the idea the first night, actually. F--uh, Warren was kind of rude on the plane. I didn't think it'd be a big deal.
x_storm: Storm leans forward and puts her hands on the edge of her desk. "Sam, bless him, is an easy-going, friendly person with a good sense of humor, who comes from a big family with at least two other mutants."
x_storm: "Above all, he is /friends/ with everyone who was involved in that prank, and they all knew him quite well beforehand."
x_storm: She takes a deep breath. "Warren spent several /years/ strapping his wings down under his clothes so he wouldn't be found out as a mutant. He still isn't out to his parents, because they will most likely disown him."
x_crowdofone: Oh.
x_kitten: *continues to have no reaction*
x_storm: That said, she looks over to Kitty. "I can understand Jamie's ignorance, but not yours. /How/ long have you been here, Katherine? I do not understand you participating in this at all. Were you targeting Warren for some reason? Was it stress?"
x_storm: Lowering her voice, she adds in a /slightly/ sympathetic tone, "Do you /really/ want to spread the idea that you're willing to use your powers to invade the rooms and privacy of others?"
x_kitten: *looks up, in the same inflectionless tone:* I'm sure if they're going to think it they already have.
x_crowdofone: If I'd known about that I would've picked somebody else, Professor, really. It's not--I mean, I don't like the guy, that's probably pretty obvious, but it wasn't . . . it was just supposed to be a joke.
x_storm: "So was Logan calling Professor Xavier 'wheels', Jamie."
x_storm: "And believe me, that's not something he's going to ever do again." She reaches up and rubs at the back of her neck. "But Kitty? That's not an explanation."
x_crowdofone: Yeah, I guess, but . . . I mean, what am I supposed to do, treat him different from everybody else just because he's different?
x_storm: For just a /second/, Storm's anger actually shows. "No, you're supposed to /think/ before you /act/. This is not a frat house, and it's not a wolf pack. Would you have pulled something like this on Rahne? Or Sarah? Or Jubilee?"
x_storm: "What /next/, are you going to tell me he was asking for it?"
x_crowdofone: Well, Jubilee, maybe. Not Sarah, she'd kill me. And not Rahne, until she understands it's just supposed to be funny. But I figured Warren was a lot more together than any of them and he could _handle_ it.
x_crowdofone: No, he wasn't asking for it. But I figured he'd just prank me back, or something. I was wrong about that, and I'm sorry I didn't peg him right, but I'm not trying to . . . to oppress anyone or anything.
x_storm: Storm nods, slowly. "I see. I think I will spare you the lecture about male models of socialization and how 'handling it' is a construct designed to enforce compliance with the system."
x_storm: "If something has to be 'handled', that means that on some level, you're aware of the fact that it could hurt somebody, potentially. So don't do it unless you /know/ that it won't. Got it?"
x_crowdofone: Yes, ma'am.
x_storm: "Right. You can go. The Professor, Scott and I may want to see you later, though." Storm looks back over at Kitty.
x_kitten: I assume you're not dismissing me yet?
x_storm: "Not quite."
x_kitten: Alright.
x_kitten: *still no particular emotion on her face*
x_crowdofone: It wasn't her fault, Professor. Really.
x_storm: "Jamie? I said you can go."
x_crowdofone: Yes, ma'am. *Jamie files out, looking worriedly over his shoulder at Kitty.*
x_storm: "You are obviously upset about more than this. If you don't want to talk to me about it, all right. Go to your room, take a nap, get some dinner. Take a shower. And then find the Professor, because in your case he should be the one to deal with this."
x_storm: Storm jerks a thumb at the door. "Go on. Get. Nap, or shower, or eat, or /something/. I mean it. And I expect you in class tomorrow, is that clear?"
x_kitten: Tomorrow is the weekend. *she stands*
x_kitten: *turns to leave*

I don't think they know about the others yet. :) Not that it really matters. Just for further reference.
And. Ooooh. *got goosebumps and wibbled for poor Kitty while wibbling for Warren at the same time*
