xp_logsAmanda interrupts Angelo taking his leave of Sarah. Awkwardness abounds.
Angelo was laughing, low and satisfied, as he and Sarah backed each other towards the door. He had to go, true, but that didn't mean they couldn't take a little time over his leaving. Time that had mostly been occupied with making out on their way to the door, which he had just collided with.
He fumbled behind him with one hand to open it, then ignored it for a few moments longer, because he had better things to focus on.
Sarah liked his kisses. They were hard, and sexy and sort of like they were sparring with each other. It was as if both of them were saying 'Oh yeah? Well look at what I can do.' That made a very good distraction from other things. Like people standing out in the hallway watching.
Sarah finally looked up, putting just a little bit of space in between them. Just enough to not feel like she was putting on a show for her friend. She nodded her head to Angelo, motioning behind him. "Morning Trouble."
Unaccountably blushing, Amanda nodded, shifting her feet a little. It was way too early to be awake on a Saturday, but she was going to have to get used to it. There were kids waiting for her. "Morning." Managing a grin - because why the hell shouldn't two of her friends have a good time? Wasn't like they didn't deserve anything less - she added: "See you took the hint about not hermitting. Good for you both."
Angelo blinked, then turned hastily as Amanda spoke. "Hey! Um... yeah. Guess I did."
"I wore the skirt. It was inevitable." Sarah gave Amanda a mock-solemn look, hands wandering slowly into the back pockets of Angelo's pants. So much for not groping him in front of anyone. "Off to the school?"
Amanda nodded. "Doing the mini-van thing. Family tradition and all that." Her ears went pink and she coughed a little. "Um, I should probably get going, leave you two to it. Since you're, ah, busy and all."
Angelo held out a hand to stop her, not moving away from Sarah (even if he could have with her hands in his pockets). "No, I was, uh... just gettin' ready to head out too. No rush on our account."
Amanda smiled again. "Hey, it's my first day with the kids, I don't want to be late. I'll catch you later, yeah?" She squeezed the hand that had caught hers briefly, before letting go and her grin turned wicked. "Sarah and me can have a good gossip later. Beer's on me."
"I'm going to hold you to that!" Sarah laughed, finally pulling herself away from Angelo so he could wander off as well. She kissed him one last time, grinning. "I'll see you later."
He leaned into the kiss until it broke, grinning. "Count on it. Amanda, you're headin' over to the school, aren't you?"
Amanda looked up from her boots, which had become very interesting whilst all the kissing had been going on. "Um, yeah," she said. "Was just about to drive over." With the slightest of pauses, she added. "You want a lift?"
"If you don't mind", he said with a shrug and a smile, stepping away from Sarah. "I didn't bring my car this time."
This time? There'd been other times? Amanda firmly stomped on the stab of... what? Jealousy? Regret? Angelo was her one of her best friends, practically her brother, why shouldn't he start seeing someone regularly? "No worries, I'm parked 'round the front," she said instead. Giving Sarah a wave, she continued: "Drinks after work on Monday? Sounds like we've got a lot to catch up on."
"Sure thing." Sarah smiled, leaning back against the door frame lazily. "I'll come beating down your door around five."
"'S a date." As soon as Amanda said the words, she internally kicked herself. "Well, not a date, but you know. Um." Casting around for a way out of the awkwardness, she glanced at her watch. "Oh, is that the time? Better run. C'mon Ange. Bye, Sarah!" And with that she started heading for the door, not grabbing Angelo's arm like she might have normally done.
