Miss Blaire (or do you prefer Alison?),
Jamie's unintentionally reminded me that while I've been here for a little while now, I haven't actually really given much thought into attending actual classes - which is mostly because I wasn't sure I'd be allowed to stay. Now that I'm settled, though, and Mister Wisdom's scowls in my direction seem to have abruptly gone the way of the dodo (almost worrisome, that), it's something I should like to give some thought. While I am technically a high school graduate, I wouldn't mind broadening my studies out a bit further. I know Emma intends on giving me some sessions on business, and I'd be lying if I said a formal music class didn't sound like a very enjoyable prospect, especially under such an accomplished tutor. (Now you've seen the rich, dignified version of a fanboyish squeal. Shhh. Our little secret.)
If you aren't too busy tomorrow, do you think I could see you for a little bit, to talk about possible classes and the like? There are a few things I'm curious about - if there's an actual place set aside where a lad can get in a smoke without being given the evil eye, for example - and while I know Miss Braddock and Mister Wisdom would be willing to discuss it with me, I'd rather like to meet you and Miles, anyway. Sarah's been a very good friend to me since I got here (though I think I may have rather messed that one up a tad..), and since she speaks so highly of the ickle guy, I'd like to say hello. And, er, maybe see if he likes the piano at all.. Jamie's fault, and Christmas' fault, but something about the kid makes me feel like playing The Rainbow Connection is just the right thing to do. Go figure.
You aren't a telepath, are you? Your dartboard-with-a-picture musing is disturbingly similar to a Christmas present I have planned. Might make a bloke wonder.

Shinobi,
I'm fine with either really, just go with what makes you most comfortable. (I'm guessing it'll be first name basis in your case, actually.) As for the rest... Music to my ears (pun intended of course) that you'd rather see me than the others. ;) How about sometime Monday afternoon and we can do a small tour of the place and go over any other questions you might have beyond the school curriculum as well. We don't have a smoking room and I hate the stuff myself, but outside should be safe enough to keep both of us happy on that score, and I can show you where to be or not to be during an emergency for one thing. ;)
I'm glad you've gotten to know Sarah – she's a bit touchy at times but from the way you talk about her, I'm sure with a little hard work you can set things right. We can do a basic music eval in the afternoon too if you've got the time (you are already noted down for my class m'dear) and we'll see how Miles takes to the piano.
Re: Being a mind reader
Nope, not in the least. Although now that Miles is around, I'm kinda starting to wish I was.
See you soon!

Alison,
Obviously, yes, I think we'll be going on a first-name basis. It's just more comfortable, you know? Monday sounds very good to me - as does getting the tour. While I did have an alright time falling into step with the others during this last emergency, I'm a lot more comfortable when I can lead the herd if I have to than being part of one. And, I completely understand not liking cigarettes, so don't worry. I try to be very good about only smoking outdoors, and even then, only if the people I'm with don't mind.
I'm glad I've gotten to know Sarah, too. I'm a little confused as to why everyone seems so tetchy around her, though - she's always been very approachable with me, although my standards are maybe a bit different than most peoples', in hindsight. (Huzzah for being noted for class - you just hadn't stumbled across Jamie's and my hijacking of your posting yet when I sent this.)
I'll be there with bells on. But not literally. Because that would be wrong.
