Dear Doctor Essex,

My apologies for not writing sooner, I had thought to wish you a happy holiday and assure you that I, and the others had not been expelled, tortured or even harshly punished. This letter has taken me some time to compose, because of limited personal time.

In truth, we have not been expelled, tortured, or harshly punished, although looking back, I find myself unable to explain why. With the threat of Miss Braddock's death no longer hanging over us, in hindsight, it seems quite foolish to have willingly agreed to commit a criminal act, when we could have approached the Professor with your concerns. I can blame that on my own concern for a teacher, and a need to take action, instead of continuing to remain the passive observer.

What I cannot overlook is the specific action you requested of me. I have spent the last few weeks assisting Doctor McCoy with a patient. A young man who was mistreated and forced to take what has been described to me as a nearly deadly dose of a drug called Thorazine. Because of the nature of his power, and how the drug interacts with his ''mutant metabolism'', he remains in a coma, and it is unknown how long he will stay there.

When you asked me for my help in moving Miss Braddock, I was unaware that mutations could affect how people react to medicines. Since then, I have seen the results of one very bad drug interaction, in addition to now seeing how some of my classmates diet's must be altered to ensure that mutation-related allergies and deficiencies do not affect their health.

To quote the doctor, I got lucky. The chemical you provided me was one of the very, very few that he is not violently allergic to. He could have died, gone into a coma, suffered organ failure, gotten very ill, or any one of the other reactions I cannot remember. I was provided with quite an education on the various effects of drug allergies, and I do not believe that I will be able to forget it anytime in the near future.

I am rather appalled that you would even consider asking me to help, in hindsight. I am not yet of age, in America or in my home country. I am a visitor to America, on a student Visa, and from news reports, I am now quite aware of how non-citizens are treated here. I imagine that it is more so for a non-citizen mutant. That is also a lesson I will not be forgetting anytime soon.

I presume that you did check on Doctor McCoy's medical records, perhaps without authorization, to find a safe sedative. Still, from what I believe, there was still a strong risk of interaction or allergy, due to Doctor McCoy having only limited research on his own mutation. I believe that you placed me in the most danger of the four of us, offers of assistance and sanctuary aside. I could have been charged with attempted murder and assault, on top of the kidnapping charge that we were all potentially facing.

I cannot find a way to politely express how I feel, so I fear I must be blunt.

You used and manipulated me. You used and manipulated Kitty, and Sarah and Jamie. You showed a disregard for our safety and involved us in what I now know to be a felony. A crime that could have put the others in jail for most of their lives, and could have gotten me considered a terrorist.

I do not expect a response to this letter. I will not be checking the drop box, and if I find communications from you, I will be forwarding them to Professor Xavier.
