Log: Dani and Marie
Dec. 22nd, 2006 07:54 pmIn which Marie does Dani's makeup and Dani shows her girly side. Roommate bonding and fluff. Makeup ;)
Dani looked at herself critically in the mirror. She'd decided to be daring and not get a red dress like she usually did. She liked red. Instead she had found a long white dress that she thought looked mature and demure. And yet, hopefully provocative. Not that she was trying to impress anyone, but you never know.
The question was, makeup. She didn't own any and she had no idea how to put it on. "Marie!" she called, long strides being cut short by the dress. Oops, had to be ladylike. "You got any makeup that can make me look decent?"
"Of course," Marie called out automatically. "Not that you need much with that complexion." Taking another critical look in the mirror at the black strapless dress she'd selected for the evening, Marie gathered up a few select supplies and made her way over to Dani's room. Gesturing for her to sit down, Marie pulled off her gloves and laid them down carefully. "Just be careful not to move unless Ah tell you to."
Dani nodded, unafraid. She walked through peoples minds unintentionally all the time, she was little she truly feared, "I trust you." From what she understood, it was hard to put on makeup with gloves on. Truthfully, she thought it was hard to put it on regardless.
"Close your eyes," Marie instructed, brushing on a creme base with a little sparkle to start off. "Anything in particular you like?" She knew that she wanted to make Dani's eyes pop since her roommate didn't usually do much to show them off.
Dani thought her eyes were small and didn't really know what to do with them so she tended to concentrate on lipsticks on the infrequent times she did attempt makeup. "Um...red lipstick?" she said, unsure. She liked red though and how it looked on her.
"Up for something a little different?" Marie asked, moving on to add a light blue to the crease of Dani's eyelids. "Focus on eyes, more neutral on the lips, a little highlighting of your cheekbones..." she paused and waited for Dani's reaction.
Could Marie please repeat that in english? "Whatever you want," Dani said, only understanding all the words but not the actual meaning. Although she did have cheekbones sharp enough to cut things.
Marie hummed cheerfully as she continued to apply make up to Dani's face, stepping back to view the finished product. "You need to blend the stuff on your cheeks with your fingers."
Looking in the mirror, Dani was impressed with what she saw. Carefully, she blended the bronzer as Marie had indicated, if her cheekbones had been sharp before, now they were practically razors. "I like! Thank you!" One day she really needed to learn to do this herself. "You look great too."
"Thanks," Marie said, heading to Dani's mirror to apply her own makeup. "Ah hope the kids have a good time. They need stuff like this, y'know?"
