Poetry, and other nonsense
Dec. 27th, 2003 02:49 pmSarah promised Shinobi a Christmas present, so she wrote him something when she went home Friday night. It really is on notebook paper, and it's smudged with dirt (she tried to keep it clean, really she did.), but it's not the presentation she's worried about. The words, they speak for themselves.
Closest to the stars,
little pieces of what I've never loved,
what's never wanted me.
Never pleased the sun,
never wanted anything but the darkness
and solitude from the pretty world.
Little lights a preparation for dreams long buried.
I'm still not ready for the moment when the pretty world wants me.
It's left on his bed while he's outside smoking, and Sarah disappears down into the basement again.
