What were Tommy and Yvette talking about on Monday? Hehehe.
It was loud, too loud for Shiro's tastes. He could appreciate frivolity as much as anyone (really, he could) and fun though listening to Mondo "play" the kazoo and DDR at the same time, a morning mission followed by a day of school left him just wanting to lie down and relax. He dropped his bookbag by the door to his suite as he walked in, offering Tommy a curt nod, and headed over to his room to collapse.
Alex had been out playing DDR with the rest of the mansion, but he'd happened to see Shiro go past the door and politely excused himself. He quickly stopped into the kitchen for a few moments before heading up the suite. Inching the door open with his hip, he grinned at Tommy before entering the room he shared with Shiro, birthday cake in hand. "Happy Birthday!"
"Yay!" Shiro smirked and sat up on his bed, scooting over so Alex could sit. "Oh, deliciousness, where have you been all day? The cake looks good, too." He hadn't paid much attention to the fact that it was his twentieth, mostly because he'd wanted to avoid a him-sized glittery banner again this year. Thankfully, Leyu hadn't made one.
"I hope it's good, I helped make it." He didn't mention that Lorna had done most of the work after walking in on him trying by himself. Alex sat down next to him and gave him a quick kiss before handing over the cake and its two candles. "I figured two would be safer then twenty."
Shiro's smile faltered a little, because there weren't many people who could have helped. At least it wouldn't be poisoned. He blew out the candles and quickly left the room to get plates, forks, and a knife from the kitchenette. "You are older than I am," he said as he came back in, taking the cake from Alex and putting it on his desk so he could cut it. "You do not get to make fun of my age."
"Hey! I wasn't making fun!" Alex protested as he stood up and playfully shoved Shiro out of the way so he could cut it. "It's your birthday, sit down and let me do the work." He made sure Shiro was sitting back down before he cut two pieces of cake and handed one over to him.
If Alex's admission of assistance wasn't a tell, then the utter greatness of the cake was. "Wow. This is amazing. Thank you, Alex." He greedily ate and was finished in no time. "I should go on more X-Men missions on my birthday if I can end the day like this."
Alex had tried, it wasn't his fault he was horrible in the kitchen and Lorna had taken pity on him. He too ate up his cake and took the dirty plates to set aside, before he put the cake away in the small fridge. "It doesn't have to end with just cake ya know." He added playfully before flopping down on the bed and producing a present.
The wrapping paper was almost burned off. As it was, it lay crumpled up on the floor in seconds. "Mario Party 8 for the Wii," Shiro laughed. "Maybe you will play someone else besides Luigi for a change? You have such a younger brother complex.”
That earned Shiro a hit in the arm. "Hey! I like Luigi! He's SO much cooler then Mario any day! And you really need to get over your thing for Princess Peach, that's so third grade man." Alex giggled.
The punch hardly fazed Shiro. "Princess Daisy," he corrected, wearing a haughty smile, "who is much tougher than Peach. And that was only that one day. Yoshi is still the best."
Alex rolled his eyes. "Whatever." Laughing, he nudged Shiro's shoulder with his. "So it's your birthday, what do you wanna do? We can go out, stay in...whatever you want!"
It was a pretty easy decision, really. After a morning spent apprehending a bunch of co-conspirators in a kidnapping/murder investigation, and an afternoon spent in class, there wasn't much Shiro wanted to do besides pull Alex on top of him and kiss him like a horny schoolboy. Which, not so coincidentally, he was.
Alex couldn't help laughing as Shiro did just that, quite happy to fulfill his horny boyfriend's birthday wishes. Making out was turning into one of his favorite pastimes.
But this time was a little bit different. The two had an unspoken agreement to keep things light and not too intimate. But Shiro was finding it difficult to keep. His hands itched to explore more of Alex, and this time he gave in. His hands slipped down past Alex's waistband, and he hissed softly as he thrust his hips upwards.
Gasping at the intrusion, Alex slipped off of him and laid down next to him so he could look at him. "Shiro?" He asked, not really hurt or anything, more surprised.
Well, that's no fun. Shiro bit down a curse and tried to keep his tone calm and neutral. "What? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine...Sorry I got startled for a moment." He lifted one hand and cupped it around Shiro's cheek. "Are we doing this?" Alex managed a small blush. "Sorry, guess I need a little warning but if you want..."
Always such a romantic. It made Shiro smirk. "I'm sure I could devise a consent form to be signed in triplicate and then notarized if that is what you want," he teased. "This is . . . heavy, I suppose, but we are adults and mature . . . ish. We don't have to act like sixteen year-olds anymore."
Alex rolled his eyes and kissed him playfully. "Yeah, you're right. Sorry. I always get like this at the beginning...I'll get over it. So, birthday boy...to what depths would you like to go?" He grinned and kidded around, if anything to not think about another person's birthday involving sexual firsts.
