Lorna and Alex have a fight in the hallway. Wow, it's like they never broke up. Or...every time they broke up. Something like that.

Lorna pocketed her Blackberry just as she rapped on the door and gave Alex ten slowly counted seconds to panic then shoved the door off it's suddenly useless hinges. She knew better than to let it hit the ground hard and held it just an inch or so from the carpet. "Alexander Summers!" she snapped in her best 'you're in so very much trouble, young man' tone. It was a good one.

It was a very good one and during those ten seconds, Alex had contemplated Angel's window suggestion. But now that wasn't exactly option as his and Shiro's door removed itself from his hinges. Instead of running, he was going to try playing it coy. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Dane, was I bad?" Oh he was in for it.

"You're not cute. Don't even think that you're cute." Her boot heels clicked ominously on the hovering door as she strode across, on hand on her hip. "Get up, take your lumps like a man."

He stood up from his chair and fought the urge to back away slowly. "Of course I'm cute. Everyone knows it. Including you. And what are these lumps of which you speak?" Maybe he could slip past her into the common room?

Lorna raised an eyebrow at him. "I'm going to beat you until you address me properly. Standard procedure." She lifted her hands to her loose hair and bound it quickly in a ponytail with the elastic on her wrist. "I'm willing to be fair. I'll let you apologize now and try again with that."

Alex snorted softly. "Apologize? ...nah." He really must have a death wish but he couldn't stop himself from grinning. Baiting Lorna was fun.

"Don't say I didn't give you a chance then." She shrugged one shoulder but couldn't help giving him back a grin of her own before darting for him.

Her movement gave him the opening he needed to slip by her and out the door. He took off across the common room making for the door. Hopefully being out in the public halls would discourage her...some.

She missed him by a finger's width and cursed quietly, taking off after him at a dead run, already laughing. As though she wasn't well used to fights in the hallways with Alex Summers. It was almost just like old times.

Lorna's laughing, oddly enough made him burst out in his own, bringing odd looks from some of the kids as he got the door open and dashed down the public hallway, Lorna right on his heels.

And no, the irony about being chased down the halls by Lorna Dane was not lost on Alex either, in fact, it made him laugh harder.

She caught him just before the landing of the stairs, arms around his waist though her smaller frame did little to halt his movement, redirecting them both into the wall with a solid 'oomph'. "Say you're sorry," she taunted.

Alex tried to push against the wall and break her hold but it didn't work. So instead, he turned around in her grip and grinned. "Nope." The he ducked out of her arms...but tripped over her feet.

That hadn't actually been intentional but damned if she wasn't willing to take advantage of it. She grabbed hold again as he tumbled to the ground and pinned him on his back, her knee in the middle of his chest, hands on his wrists. She laughed down into his face. "Saaaaaaaay it."

He gave a token struggle before grinning up at her and shaking his head. "Make me." Ow, she was strong and her grip hurt but like hell was he giving in that easy.

Lorna's eyes narrowed. She slipped her knee off and let go of one of his wrists, quickly bringing it down to exploit his very vulnerable and, she knew from experience, very ticklish side. "Say you're sorry."

Oh shit...He should have known better then to pick a fight with the one person who knew all his weaknesses. His eye's began to water, he was laughing so hard. His free hand tried to cover his vulnerable spot but damnit it just didn't work. "Okay! Okay!" He shouted between giggles. "I'm sorry!"

Lorna tickled harder, letting go of his other wrist to start on the other side as well. "You're sorry what?" she asked through her own laughter, resolving to tell him how to get out of something this simple in the future. What was Scott teaching him?

Oh Alex knew, Scott had showed him last week. It was more he hadn't exactly tried very hard, though why he didn't really know. More fun this way? "I'm sorry...Mrs. Dane!" He said with a cheeky grin, knowing he was going to regret it but damnit, the look on her face was worth it.

"Horrible!" she exclaimed and jerked away from him. "Don't make me have to really beat on you."

"Oh come," he said, still grinning. "You think I'm really still that easy to catch?"

"You saying you're just playing with me?" Lorna rolled to her knees, then to her feet and flipped her wrist at him. "All right, let's go. You're gonna get your ass kicked and then you're gonna apologize. Then I'm gonna kick your ass some more."

"Uh huh. Bring it. I think you'll be surprised at how much better I've gotten." Oh Alex and his big mouth. It was going to get him in trouble but the longer he could stay out here and teaing Lorna in this friendly manner, the better. Even if he was going to hurt in the morning.

and lo, they fought and eventually Lorna won but not easily.
