Angelo and Terry, Friday
Apr. 13th, 2007 10:22 pmIn which there is party planning.
"...so, wait, you were serious about the stripper?" Angelo, sitting on the couch in his suite, gave Terry a half-disbelieving, half-admiring look.
"For the bachelor party? Aye, completely. Something tasteful. Like burlesque but with lapdances. You'll have to get me photos. He's adorable when he blushes." Terry flipped to a new page in her journal and wrote 'Places' across the top, "For the going away party I'm thinking something more family friendly. Dinner out with your coworkers, maybe?"
Angelo nodded, giving this thought. "Some of them, anyway. Maybe just the official ones - well, an' Medusa, even if she calls herself a volunteer. Unless you were thinkin' Yvette an' Sooraya too?"
"Do you think he'd like to have them there?" Terry wrote quickly, jotting down names of people she'd thought might want to give Bobby a proper send-off, "I don't know that he's all that close to them, is he? He doesn't talk about work much."
"Well, not all that close, no", Angelo admitted. "I was just thinkin' they probably technically count as coworkers."
Terry pondered it for a while, "Let's not. I like them both but it's probably better if we leave the minors at home. Should we allow people to invite guests?"
"...not sure. I mean, it's Bobby's party - he's not gonna know everybody they'd want to bring." Or like them, necessarily.
A very good point. And Terry didn't want Certain People showing up. Because it was considered impolite to stab someone in the middle of dinner no matter how upset he was making Bobby. "We'll stay simple then. You, Nathan, Rahne, Medusa and me."
"Sounds like a plan", he said with a grin. "So what else do we need to settle?"
"Where, when, how to get him there..." Terry chewed on her lip. "His flight is on Wednesday. How about Tuesday night? I'll tell him it's Date Night and you can get everyone out to the restaurant. About...7 maybe?"
"Sure, I can arrange that. Only three people, it'll be easy. Even if one of them's Medusa an' her shoes."
"Perfect!" Terry declared and snapped her journal shut again. "Get a cake or something. I'll take care of the Bobby wrangling." She checked her watch, "And right about now he's going to notice I'm missing. Later, Ange."
Angelo chuckled. "Cake an' guests, got it. You go on, I'll see you on Tuesday if not before."
