After helping Alex, Wanda wanders the mansion and runs into Marie and get roped into chaperoning.
Done with Alex's make-up, Wanda felt the need to wander the mansion. She made a few stops--Jennie, for one--but still ended up feeling there was more time than things to do. There was always the club since she was dressed for it but she was feeling uninspired at the moment.
"What's a pretty little thing like you doing in a place like this?" The low voice that came from her right at a slight Southern drawl and Marie actually made it through the entire sentence before laughing.
Glancing over, Wanda blinked and then started to laugh as well. "I could counter that with 'What's a handsome thing like you doing here' but I fear the universe might just well explode," she said after a second, taking in Marie's new and shiny form. "Well, I see no one really came away with the short straw for this did they?"
"The X gene is linked to attractiveness, you know," he teased with a wink. "Why should that change just because Ah happen to be have a Y chromosome for the day or so?" Walking over to stand next to Wanda, Marie looked up. "How are you still taller than me? Oh right, no heels for this body but you still have 'em on. So, come for a reprise of our duet? Ah dunno that Ah can pull that off with this voice."
"You would still sound better than me, I promise." Wanda grinned down at Marie and then her heels. "You know, I would probably attempt to pull off the heels if I had been accidentally turned into a man. I mean, Eddie Izzard manages to do it with such style, I would like to think I have that flare in me somewhere."
"They didn't match the tux," Marie said with a shrug. "That and Ah think the students are freaked out enough with the genderswapping as is." He flashed pearly white teeth at Wanda, a calculating gleam in his eyes. "It would probably be good to have more not-switched people there."
Glancing over her shoulder to make sure there wasn't another nongender swapped person behind her, she turned back to Marie and laughed. "You know, I had the vague idea in mind to go clubbing this night but my heart simply was not in it. Are the refreshments good? Because if they are, I am in."
"Yes, but you have to make sure the kids behave and help me carry the last of the decorations. And hang them since as Ah said, you're taller." Marie gestured towards one of the storage closets in the hallway. "Ah promised Marie-Ange no paper-mache Eiffel Tower - Ah said nothing about little Eiffel Tower figurines for each of the tables."
"Little Eiffel Towers?" Wanda laughed. "For that alone, I'll come and help herd the cats. I mean, students."
