Miss Braddock,

First, I'd like to welcome you back to the mansion. From what Jake's said, I can imagine it wasn't the most pleasant experience in the world, babysitting the bucket of hormones now wandering the mansion's halls and smoking the place up (what's the name? LeBeau? Lord, I almost wish I didn't speak French..), especially not when you had such a state of affairs awaiting your return. Things there seem to be quieting down, at least, and hopefully, Professor Xavier's attempts to quell my classmates' fears and tempers will be successful. I think the school has seen enough violence for quite some time.

Which brings me to my concern. I've heard (very, very vaguely) from Sarah and Shiro about some sort of spar in the fencing hall, and I get the impression that it was rather bloody. I don't know if it's my place to ask or not, but - are you alright? Physically, mentally, however you want to answer it. I'm a very good listener, and very difficult to truly offend or make ill at ease, so if you find yourself in need of somebody to talk to who can keep things to himself if necessary, I'm at your disposal. If you smoke, I'll even offer my now-customary pack of fags as concession.

I do apologize if I've overstepped, but this is my home now, and I do worry about the people in it.. especially those from somewhat similar classes of life as myself. Have to stick together, and all that rubbish.

I would hardly consider you frail. Still on the mend, perhaps, but it's rather obvious to see that you're quite capable. I think the sparring session was more surprising than it was worrisome, at a guess. Blood has a way of shocking people.

As far as overstepping your boundries is concerned, you've done it in a very polite and (most importantly) private way, which makes it very much preferable to the ways others might have done so. Even better, you spoke in concern for Sarah's well-being, which is something you and I have in common. The last thing I ever want to do is hurt her. If you see me doing something you worry might do such, and I'm not aware of it, please don't hesitate to let me know. This isn't something I want to screw up.

Take care of yourself, as well. It's nice to have more than two sources of such intelligent conversation around. I'd hate to lose one when I've only just discovered it.

I'll keep that in mind, Shinobi. I highly doubt that I'll need to do so though.

Perhaps, when we choose continue our conversation, it'll be in a more intimate forum.
