Clarice runs into Jono while Not Looking For Him. They begin to renew their friendship with devout vows of not missing each other, which is then followed by going to the pool and mild snarkiness.

Clarice bored. She was not taking summer classes, she didn't have work and she had already had her way-too early morning DR training session so she was wandering around. She was a little perturbed because she hadn't seen Jono since he had been back, although she had been busy at work and then the obligatory passing out after work to really go looking for him. Maybe she'd go to the pool later after she found him. Hopefully, she could convince him to come with her.

Coincidentally, Jono was also bored. Once the novelty of returning to the mansion had worn off, he found his days filled with paperwork (officially becoming a music teacher apparently took a lot of papers to sign), counting things (why did the school have seven clarinets? In case of emergency orchestra?), and generally avoiding people.

He'd intended to take a walk, perhaps up to the fliers' platform for a change of scenery, but when he saw a flash of purple down the hall, he changed his mind.

Ah ha! She's found Jono! Which was fairly impressive given his tendencies to avoid people and the size of the school, "Jono!" she cried, running towards him and practically knocking him down with a hug, "I didn't miss you at all."

If Jono had lungs, the hug would have definitely knocked the breath out of him. As it was, he staggered back into the wall, instinctively checking to make sure Clarice hadn't knocked his bandages loose. "Obviously not," he said with an amused look in his eyes. "Practically never knew I was gone, did you?"

"Wait....you were gone?" Clarice pretended to be confused, and let him go. She wasn't worried about his bandages, this was Jono, superparanoid man who always double or triple wrapped himself, "I'm glad you're not doing your Tinkerbell impression anymore, it got old. Did you find your jeans yet?"

Jono narrowed his eyes, then laughed. "With the glitter and the fairy patch? How could I miss them?"

"Present for you. Because I care. And you needed some color in your wardrobe," Clarice was completely unrepentant, "Wanna go to the pool?"

"Black is a color," Jono insisted. "And sure, long as you don't expect me to swim."

Watching Jono attempt to swim could be good entertainment for the morning, but Clarice was not the cruel or bored. "Why said anything about swimming?" she asked, "I want to work on my tan," that she didn't tan was irrelevant. Laying out in the sun was still fun. :"But you're back-back right? No more glowy light?"

Jono tugged down the bandages, letting a small flame of psionic energy flicker out. "Half and half, I suppose," he explained. "But I've promised people no more exploding. Getting a mite bit old. Suppose if I want attention I'll have to get myself abducted now, it seems to be the new black."

Oh that was bad. Groaning, Clarice rolled her eyes, "That's terrible! No getting kidnapped! Or then I'll have to come save your butt and Paige would be all worried and not good! I'm an X-Man now, so I'd have to save you. It's like, in the regs."

"Nice to see the leather brigade hasn't raised its standards," Jono teased, heading off down the hallway. "And I wasn't planning on it. I'm right happy stayin' where I'm at, thank you very much. Unless I find more glitter on my jeans, in which case I might take up sitting on the porch with a big sign saying 'BROTHERHOOD WELCOME, TAKE ME NOW'."

"Lame!" Clarice pronounced, smiling, "I am a good X-Man! And I don't think Paige would let you go to the Brotherhood. Although she might get all spazzy if I glitter your clothing. Or hers, but really, I'm over the glitter now. My young padawan has taken over the glittering of the mansion."

Jono's eyes widened. "Oh god, there's more of you now? I'm beginning to regret this whole solidity thing, I am..."

Laughing, Clarice headed out towards the pool, "Just don't let her know you need a good glittering every so often and I'm sure she'll over look it," she settled onto a lounge chair and pulled her shirt off since her bathingsuit was underneath, "So music teacher, huh? How's that working for you?"

"Perfect. One potential student so far who seems to like it. That makes me one for one, in the running for Teacher of the Year and I've not even settled into a desk yet. I'm suddenly seeing the upside of not having to wear a tie, though..."

"Well, not having a neck would make it difficult. Although it could be really fun, we could make you look like Mr. Garrison from South Park with a big head and little tiny neck," the evil gleam in Clarice's eye indicated that she was going to do her best to find a way to accomplish this. And take pictures.
