Shamu Jr. escapes and Kyle finds him with Laurie.

Laurie idly dangled a small piece of turkey sandwich above Shamu's nose, grinning at the cat took a dainty bite at it. He'd been following her around the house for several minutes now and had hopped up on her lap as soon as she sat down in the sunroom.

She'd never been very good at resisting pleading looks, especially not from cats, who appeared to be masters at manipulating the 'cute' option.

"You are a dirty low-down no good cat thief." Kyle had finally tracked Shamu down to the sunroom, after the still-growing kitten had managed to ditch his harness and scamper off. If Kyle hadn't known better, he'd have thought Shamu was mocking him. But he was pretty sure that it was more that he just smelled or saw something interesting. And here his cat was, with Laurie, and her sandwich. Both of which were interesting.

"Am not." Laurie replied, sticking her tongue out at him. "He was following me around looking all pathetic."

It was the principle of the thing. Shamu was his cat. Not that Kyle was greedy about the cat being petted thing, but still. "Better you then the Professor." He said. "Apparently he's totally violently allergic, which has to mega-suck. I mean less then when Catseye was here, but still. Mega. Suckage."

"I hear they've got something you can wash cats with now that helps with the whole allergic thing. That way Shamu might be able to leave your suite without the whole leash thing." Laurie said, reaching down and scritching the kitten under his chin. She'd always liked pets, both dogs and cats although she herself owned a dog. Or her dog owned her, she wasn't entirely sure he knew that he wasn't human some days.

"Yeah, but did you see Julio when he gave Shamu here a haircut?" Kyle asked wryly. "He and I have an agreement. He doesn't poop where he shouldn't, and I don't wash him." He watched Shamu take to the scritching with a happy purr and sighed. "My cat is totally unfaithful to me."

"Well, to be fair, I'm told I'm extremely hard to resist." Laurie replied with a grin.

Not that she was currently actively using her power but she still had a hard time keeping it completely turned off when she wasn't concentrating on it.

"Dude, it's like, the principle of the thing." Kyle argued. "I mean, okay, you have the whole animals like you thing going for you, but you'd think he'd be more loyal to the guy who feeds him." Of course, Shamu was being fed at the moment, and Kyle was pretty sure -he- would have flopped on Laurie's lap if she gave him turkey and an ear scritch too. But for totally different reasons. "I should put him back in the suite but there's no reason you can't spoil my cat -there-."

"That is true." Laurie replied, picking up Shamu Jr and handing him over to Kyle. "Lead the way, mon Capitan."
