Subject: Mystical pains in the arse.
Dear Moira,
My dear brother has told me of the shenanigans Amanda has already gotten up to and that you'll be the one trying to sort out some kind of training program for our hellchilde. My sympathies.
I've attached all the information I've managed to get together on her background and powers - she's understandably cagey about some of it, and other things she simply doesn't remember.
As far as her powers go...her actual mutation is to absorb energy from mystical objects and sites, and she uses the magic to channel that energy out of herself. Consider the magic a side-effect of her mutation, not the mutation itself. I'll be taking care of that side of things myself, but I needed her to reduce the sheer amount of mystical energy in her system before any kind of magical training would be a good idea. Sort of like adding a match to a stockpile of gunpowder, if you get my meaning. I think another week or so and she'll be at a level where she can actually think straight - and it will take me that long to call in enough favours on your side of the pond to get her a tutor.
My suggestion would be to treat her as you would any other mutant with an energy-conversion type of power - say, solar energy into force beams, that kind of thing? Whilst she won't actually explode, at least physically, she does need to be able to regulate how much mystical forces she absorbs - if only so there are no unpleasant consequences should she ever actually come with range of anything of any power.
