(Pre-dated a little bit since I'll be out.) Wanda and Kurt go dancing and find themselves the center of attention.

Near death experiences were fantastic for forcing one to look at everything around them with fresh eyes.  It wasn't such a surprise that Wanda had been overworking – again – and between the last mission nearly going pear shaped and reaffirming the whole "not dead by space laser" thing with Cain, she'd decided she simply wasn't living enough.  Which was why she was wearing a fabulous dress (beyond fabulous, really) and dragging Kurt by the hand to the dance floor.  Forget live a little, it was time to remember what living a lot felt like.

Kurt had been fairly content with the amount he was living - which wasn't to say he hadn't wanted to come up tonight.  He always welcomed the chance to go out dancing, and for the occasion he was dressed in a sharp suit with no image inducer, not protesting being pulled to the dance floor at all .

"You are a smart man," Wanda laughed, turning back around to slide into Kurt's arms.  "Not one word of protest despite the fact that I very well nearly dragged you out of the mansion by your tail."

"You are taller than me", he pointed out, amused.  "And besides, you had no great need of dragging.  When did I ever refuse to dance?"

"Another sign of being wise, I suppose."  The music pounded out from the speakers, flowing through the floor and all the way up to the top of her head.  It was like a pleasant electric shock that left tingles in it's wake.  It wasn't a club where people were pressed in so tightly that it was more like standing sex than dancing – a good dance could be sex personified but in an entirely different way.  Wanda smiled, looping an arm around Kurt's neck.  "Shall we?"

He slid an arm around her waist and smiled back before turning to the crowd.  "I think we shall."

Kurt was already catching some attention, luckily mostly good – this was a place Wanda frequented often in the past and knew the crowd tended more towards acceptance.  If you could dance, they didn't care who you were or what you looked like.  Pretty soon, though, they were catching attention well-beyond the fact that he was blue.  Dancing came natural to both of them and even though she wasn't as agile as he was, Wanda made up for it in other areas.  Together, they were a pretty eye catching pair on the dance floor.

With Wanda being the taller of the two, they were still able to do a lot of the traditional swing moves.  Still able being the key term, as they used her height and strength and his agility to do a little swinging of him as well.  The crowd was now getting caught up in it and they soon found themselves with a large amount of space to maneuver as people stopped to watch them.

Kurt was utterly unashamed in the dance, almost seeming not to notice the eyes on him for once, and proceeded to show off more than a little, the two swinging each other around - and then he took advantage of the space around them to let go of Wanda's hands and back flip, just because he could.

The crowd erupted into applause and Wanda dropped a short curtsy before giving them all a wink.  "We won't say no to free drinks," she laughed, reaching over to slide her arm through her dance partners.  "Would we, Kurt?"
"We certainly would not", he said with a grin in return.  "And after that, I think a drink would be just the thing."

A small group of younger people suddenly crowded around and a smiling young man gestured towards the bar.  "After that, man, the drinks are on us," he said, holding out his hand.  "My name is Sebastian, but you can call me Tian.  That was awesome, are you guys professionals?"

Wanda traded an amused glance with Kurt.  "Not...so much, no," she murmured, accepting her usual from the bartender.  "We simply keep in good shape."

Tian eyed Kurt with interest.  "Very good shape, I'd say," he responded.

"We do our best", Kurt said simply, trying to ignore the interested look.

While she didn't laugh, she also didn't come to Kurt's rescue.  "You lot look pretty intense with the dancing," she commented, nodding towards the rest of his crew.  They were good, very good.  Not quite to professional but she wouldn't be surprised if some of them made it.

"Thanks.  We're training for this dance competition that's coming up soon."  Tian patted his pockets and soon pulled out a registration form.  "I'm kind of recruiting for it, unofficially.  It's really awesome, you two stand a good chance at winning."

Wanda took the flier and murmured to Kurt, "The last time we were invited to a competition, there was a little possession around that time..."

"I'm sorry, a what?" Tian interrupted.

"A procession.  We got caught up in a little parade."

"And missed the registration", Kurt finished, shooting Wanda a look but nodding.  "I think I would like to compete again."

From somewhere, Tian produced a pen and Wanda shrugged.  "You know, so would I."  Once they'd signed, she grinned and extended her hand to the younger man.  "The night is still young, Tian.  Let me show you how this is done."

A shy girl reached up to tug on Kurt's shoulder and she glanced towards the dance floor.

He looked down at her, smiling.  "You would like to dance, liebchen?  Then by all means, let us dance."  And with that, he took her hand and spun her out towards the floor.
