Nathan, Marie-Ange, this evening

Just after this thread in Marie-Ange's journal, Nathan goes to find Marie-Ange.  She bolts, he corners her in the gazebo, they have an arguement. Marie-Ange has a sharp tongue - Nathan has a mouth like a sledgehammer. Its like the precog vs. precog late game show, only without bloodshed, footballs or cheerleaders.

( You and Amanda need to form a support group for people who like to hurt themselves overcompensating for what they see as their sins. )

OOC: Huge thanks to Redhawk for socking the Mistra characters. He's an action genius and he really made this log.

Nathan arrives at Columbia University to take Amanda out for the afternoon after their respective Saturday appointment. Mistra is waiting. He fights back, only to discover a horrific change in Mistra's tactics. Amanda tries to help save some of the innocent bystanders, but has a close encounter herself, leading Manuel, back at the mansion, to make a very unpleasant discovery about his powers. Dr. Strange attempts to help. And the battle seems about to end in Nathan's surrender...

A news crew at Columbia that afternoon catches the battle, and goes live.

Collateral Damage, part three - Rescue - Domino, Pete, Betsy, Nathan, and Amanda

At the mansion, Domino catches the news and calls Pete in New York, who heads to the scene. Betsy reaches out telepathically to tell Nathan that help's coming. Pete arrives, gets Nathan and Amanda into the car, and sets about getting out of the city. Nathan manages to tell him most of what happened before he passes out.

Collateral Damage - Aftermath - Nathan and Moira, late Saturday night

In the medlab, Moira monitors Nathan, who's struggling with a virus flare-up after his powers were scrambled during the fight. He asks her to tell him the death count at the university. He proceeds to Not Cope with her answer.
