Wednesday, Jean-Paul and Shiro

Wednesday morning, Jean-Paul spots Shiro doing the sword thing, and stops to watch. They talk, Shiro challenges Paul to a fight, they argue. Shiro is his usual dickish self, but reluctantly gives in to Paul's orders.

( This is not about winning or losing, Shiro, not in the game you're playing anyway. If I teach, my victory is when you succeed. Better still, it is when you survive. I like you. I'd like to see both things happen, for a very long time. )

Shiro in Asgard, Part 1

Shiro's introduction to Asgard. Anime characters come to life and implore Shiro to save them from the scary frost giant. He kicks ass, impresses the Norns, and becomes their champion. It's a fanboy's dream come true.

( Not that he was vain or anything, but a little thanks and recognition for a job well done defeating this monstrous blue giant would have been nice. )

Betsy and Nathan, late Wednesday night

In the middle of the night after the Great Disappearance, Betsy and Nathan do security rounds inside the school. Betsy doesn't like what she sees when Nathan lets his shields down.

Doug in Asgard, part 1

Doug falls through the interdimensional portal and winds up in an old bard's living quarters in an Asgardian mead hall. He doesn't make a jackass of himself, and thus doesn't get slapped in a collar and put to work in the scullery. He initially doesn't give his real name, but the bard allows him some paranoia given what just happened. Doug winds up telling him the truth, and then he negotiates with the old bard and winds up getting hired on as an apprentice.

( My room? Have you had more than your share of mead? )

Wednesday night in the medlab

Kylun, Jane, and Cecelia get to know one another, and try the mutual-reassurance thing. Potentially awkward topics are skimmed past or stumbled over, but all's well that ends in Jane making more new friends.

Asgard: Illyana in the Desert

Illyana spends an unhappy day in the desert after arriving in Asgard. When the goddess Hel shows up, things go downhill from there, and she ends up bound in the service of another underworld ruler, much to her dismay.

Angelo lands in Asgard...

...right in the middle of a battle. He manages to save the Elf prince's life, and gets taken in by the Light Elves to be trained in the sword. Elves played by Rossi.

Leader of the Pack

Rahne, too, arrives in Asgard. Aside from getting picked up in the air practically first thing (must be a roommate thing), she gets very lucky (but not like that... exactly). She gets the giant to drop her, and then Hrimhari, Prince of the Wolves of Asgard and all around nice guy unless you're the type who provokes him to take a bite of your Achilles tendon, chases it off and introduces himself. Rahne is accordingly adopted by a pack of wolves and gets her Asgardian lessons from someone who actually likes her. And she likes. A lot.

( Someday, my prince will come. )

Asgard - Amanda and the Enchantress.

With Alison out of the way, the Enchantress makes her move. It's amazing what a magical makeover and a mind control spell can do.

Paige shamelessly steals Moonstar's plot device finds herself dumped in the middle of nowhere, curiously near a winged horse which she then rescues. Said horse, identified as Brightwing, claims her as his rider and some very tall lady takes Paige home.
