Wanda and Kurt
Jan. 3rd, 2008 03:30 amHome after defeating Mr. Wilson, Wanda decides to change the direction of her friendship with Kurt. Who simply can't bring himself to complain.
Unlike the previous nights, Kurt had felt able to teleport - though only with one passenger, which was for the best as Doug and Angie had gone home separately. He had brought Wanda right to her front door, the balcony outside the apartment.
"That was a successful night, I feel."
Leaning against the building, Wanda quickly took her shoes off and tossed the offending items through the window. "Yes but I think the next time someone wants us to apply for a dance competition we will politely decline," she remarked, sounding a bit cross. "Trouble seems to follow us around like dogs on a scent. One of these times, we might be able to have a normal evening out."
"You could argue third time lucky", he commented mildly. "I would not like to see you put off by the actions of others."
"Not put off, simply leery. Besides, I figure at this point, I just might be better off dancing sans competition. It seems to be safer that way." She was growing cynical in her old age, she thought, shaking her head. "But it did end well, at least."
"There is always dancing without competition", Kurt agreed. "It may even be more fun that way, sometimes. And yes - no one died, and I do not think Mr. Wilson will be doing the same thing again soon."
She laughed at that, shaking her head. "No, I think not. Unless he manages to deflate himself and explain to the proper authorities what, exactly, he was up to and get out. Somehow, I think they will not be so kind considering he was the cause of accidents and could have killed someone. It was like a drug to him, the energy he was feeding off, which is, simply, disgusting."
"And not only to him, I think", he said grimly. "He had people returning again and again, after all, and those girls in his office, if he did not give them any other substance..."
"Hopefully, they will be taken some where to detox and get their lives back on straight," she said, putting a hand on his shoulder. Kurt cared deeply which was good but sometimes the caring could cut deep with worry.
"For those who can be traced, which should be many of them with the registrations... yes. I do hope so." He smiled up at her, wilfully cheerful. "And at least he will not trouble them again."
Wanda nodded and then started to slide in through her window, the skirt flashing muscled legs as she moved. Half in and half out, she sat for a moment, considering. "No, not for a few long time," she agreed, turning back to him, a sudden smile growing on her face. "Kurt, you would not happen to have any plans for the rest of the evening, would you?" Being that it was so early in the morning, she was highly doubtful, but she loved to tease even slightly. And, oh, this was going to be grand.
Kurt blinked, puzzled. "Other than going to sleep on Amanda's couch again... no. Why do you ask?"
"Oh, my reasons are many and all are very interesting, I promise," she purred at him, reaching out to grasp him firmly but gently by the tail.
That got more blinking, but of a quite different kind, and he stammered for a second. "Um... m-me? Interesting reasons... with me?" He wasn't moving away, though, and he definitely wasn't trying to free his tail. Quite the opposite, in fact.
"No, with the other blue handsome devil attached to this tail," she teased, an eyebrow quirking at how the end of the tail was now wrapping around her wrist. Well, that was giving her ideas. Wanda looked up, gave him a wink and then firmly yanked him into the apartment window.
