Nathan and Cain, Wednesday morning

Cain, on watchdog duty, has the obligatory chat with his friend about idiotic lone wolf stunts and why Nathan Won't Be Doing That Again Anytime Soon (Or Else). He also reminisces happily about his encounter with Shaw and taunts Nathan with his coffee, just a little.

( ... getting Moira all flustered when she's got enough to do what with Haroun all torn up and your daughter plotting all sorts of evil behind everyone's back. Not mine, though, I got my eye on her. )

Amanda, Meggan - Wednesday morning

Coming up from medlab to see this post, Amanda goes to see if she can't coax Meggan out. Since using powers to break in on the cranky little girl is probably a tad OTT.

Stalemate: En Passant (Wednesday afternoon)

On the Blackbird heading down to Peru, Scott and Sean have a quiet chat about strategy, Wisdom, and spoke-kicking.

( ... yeh're probably going to tell me that we want to sneak up on them, so I'm not to fly anywhere, aren't yeh? )

During the hike from the airstrip to the lab, Scott and Sam talk strategy, and Sam discovers he doesn't like the jungle.

( We are trying to make a discreet entrance, remember. )

When they get to the lab, things are too quiet. Wanda does her best to change that, but not in the good way.

( Glancing over at Scott, she winced. He had on his 'I can't believe you just did that' face. )

With the lab secured, it becomes obvious that the team has indeed missed the opportunity to kick the spokes out of a certain someone's wheel. Betsy tries to find something to make the trip worthwhile, but winds up with nothing for her efforts. Really.

( I'm not keen on the idea of writing this off as a total wash. )

As the team pulls out, Scott gives in to Betsy's urging and does in fact level the place.

( I know you better than most and so I believe I'm qualified to say this and to say it with love. Demolish the ruddy building. )

Scott and Jean, Wednesday evening

Scott's frustration with the lack of results from the Peru mission bubbles over once he gets back to the suite, and Jean very patiently listens to him rant until he gets it out of his system - which he does with commendable speed, actually. The two of them then indulge in their own version of domesticity.

( Waste of time, and what the hell was with Wanda blowing shit up? )

Moira and GW

Moira's back from the hospital in time to have an unexpected guest show up to find out what's happened this time. Bridge is in for several nasty surprises--one being when Moira simply can't hold on anymore.

Nathan and Bridge, Wednesday night

Bridge heads to the hospital to deliver the promised riot-act-reading. It consists, among other things, of repetitive use of the word 'dumbass'. There's no yelling, though, and they manage to have a much-needed talk about what happened.
