Early Wednesday morning, a message of sorts is sent. It takes a rather unusual form, one that has a definite effect on the inhabitants of the boathouse.

( Harbinger: n. one that indicates or foreshadows what is to come. )

Upon leaving the infirmary, Cain runs into Doug, who has translated the letters on the lake. Doug relates the message to Cain, who is remarkably nonplussed.

( Elucidation: n. to make clear or plain by explanation )

While the message is translated, its sender shows up. At the front door, rather politely. A chat is had between the visitor, Cain, Moira, and Charles - and a request that is both deal and demand is put on the table for Cain to ponder.

( Revelation: n. A disclosure of information not previously known or realized; an unveiling of hidden truths )

Doug decides to avoid everyone at Xavier's by using the computer study lounge at Westchester U. Of course, he runs into the -other- genius who has a total mad-on for him and no social skills.

And then Angie shows up.

This time, Remy, Marie and Ororo show themselves into el-Gibar's headquarters. The three make it clear to el-Gibar that he will give them what they came for and there will be no more discussion.

( Well, you should all be very proud of yourselves... have you ever considered thievery? Oh wait. )

The trio make it to Aswan to try and locate the mask. They're too late to snatch it, but do find the Professors and the reason why Magneto wants it so badly.

( Who we are isn't important. What we need to know is why both of you are, and what it has to do with a mask dat was old by de time Muhommad was was born. )

Storm, Gambit and Rogue interrupt the exchange, at the cost of facing one of the most dangerous of the Brotherhood: Sabretooth! After the battle, a surprise none of them could have anticipated waits

Wednesday -- C'est la vie. Lorna, Jamie, Scott

Late Afternoon, Jamie and Lorna fix dinner, joking around and mutilating classic rock. Until Lorna gets a phone call with some bad news.

( It's not like we do it every day. Only on special occasions. )

Scott's wandering intersects with Lorna's grieving at Harry's. They banter but neither have much heart for it.
