One Year On: The Meeting

Terribly terribly backdated, but a little snapshot of some conversations held at the HeliX/DZVU meeting after the violence at the vigil.

Amara talks briefly with Rebecca Black, the leader of Day Zero Victims United about the vigil.

( Words are like people; alone they can only go so far. )

Amara meets Bethany Moore, and they chat a little about Xavier's and Bethany's HeliX chapter.

( Even just changing one person's mind... it's actually pretty gratifying. )

Rebecca and the two Charlies talk, and plans are made to discuss the possibility of their two groups working together.

( We just hope that we're able to work with you and your group to ensure that a repeat of the violence doesn't occur again. )

Julian & Sean: Ice Cream Hunt

Fred, Amanda, and Kyle, and sometimes the graffiti isn't what it seems.

Backdated to Oct 30th.

Fred comes across Amanda renewing the wards and before she can explain, he carts her off to Kyle. Who plays along just enough to really confuse poor Fred. It's okay though, he gets free dinner out of it.

( So, what we gotta do is see if she -floats-, right? And if she does, she's a witch! )

Logan & Dori, Dori & Grandpa, Dori & Hank

Logan comes by and discusses the nature of Dori's new claws and being feral.

( It's a question of will. Who's stronger - your mastery over your body or your fear of pain? )

With her Grandfather's support, Doreen finally manages to pull the claws back in.

( It is all a matter of will, and you have been gifted with a great deal of it. )

Afterward, Dr. McCoy starts stitching Dori's hands an a sentence of a couple more days in the medlab.

( I'll check your stitches tomorrow and if you're up for it then, we can look at discharging you, though- again- you'll need to come back periodically. )
