Marie and Tabitha share a workout and some conversation.

Tabitha concentrated on her quadriceps as she pushed one hundred pounds of metal along the tracks. She grunted with satisfaction as she completed ten. "Yes!" She flipped on the brake and melted in the seat. "Oh, that was hard."

"But you did it, that's the important part," Rogue said as she continued doing crunches. She and Tabitha still tried to work out together once per week, but the other girl had really advanced in her abilities and was starting to know more and more what to do on her own. "Did you reach your exercise goals last week?"

Tabitha lolled her head to the side to look at Rogue. "Ten percent up from the week before. I may even be ready to step on the scale again." She shuddered in mock fear.

Marie grinned at her. "Ah bet you'll be pleased," she said. "You're looking great. You'll be back to your old self in no time, and probably feel tons better to. Just don't push yourself too hard and end up burning yourself out."

The blonde rolled to her feet. "I'm following the program, sometimes I take a swim when I can't sleep." She bent to stretch her hamstrings before she moved on to the next machine.

"Cool," Marie replied. "Though hopefully that's not every night or even every week. We've got enough insomniacs 'round here, don't need to add any more to the roster..." She fell silent for a moment. "Speaking of rosters, how's X-Men stuff going?"

"Heh, mostly I train by myself. Scott's been so busy, we don't have much opportunity to get together," she commented as she moved on to the leg extention. "And I wanted to be able to keep up before I started practicing with others." New York dinosaurs was still a mortifying point in her mind.

"Might not be a bad time to start slowly re-entering the rotation thought," Mariesaid with a shrug. "There's only so far you can get without training with a partner. Let me know if you want company at some point and Ah'd be more than happy to spar with ya."

"I can add it to my program. It'd switch things up and I wouldn't have to run as often." She rolled her eyes. "Hate running. Hate it lots."

"Yeah, there are more fun ways to work up a sweat," Marie said. "But nothing that'll build your endurance the same way, so don't give up on the running yet. How far away are you from your final goals anyhow?"

"My head knows that, but my legs scream in protest." Tabitha groaned. "I want to do a half-marathon by summer. There's a charity race in the big city I signed up for."

"That's awesome!" Marie said. "Way to get yourself motivated." She took a quick glance at the clock and then grinned over at the blond. "Bet your glad to know our time here is up...unless you want to go for round two?"

She checked her cheat-sheet and regretfully shook her head. "Already maxed out my weights for today. Maybe a trip to the beach before I have to get back to the library."

"Boiler beach is always a fun way to wrap up a workout," Marie replied. "Think Ah'm gonna head to the DR for a little game of bash-the-drone though. Catch you next week?"

"Same place and time," Tabitha smiled. "Enjoy your drone-bashing."
