While looking for Forge, Crystal finds Angelo in the suite instead, and manages to get a smile out of him.

Three light raps hit the door to the suite shared by Angelo and Forge as three soft yet audible bursts of wind reached the door. Outside of the suite stood Crystal, hovering just a few inches off the hallway floor.

Angelo might have tried to pretend he wasn't there, but the storm of barking from inside the room put paid to that. It wasn't as if he'd have gone anywhere without Joyita, especially not now.

"Oh... Angelo. Hello." Crystal supposed she shouldn't be so surprised that Angelo had answered the door; it was his suite, after all. Angelo had clearly stated that he'd wanted to be left alone, so of course he wouldn't be out and about somewhere on campus.

"Crystal", he returned with some semblance of politeness. "Somethin' I can help you with?"

"I am looking for Forge," Crystal told Angelo. "Is he in the suite?"

"Sorry", he said with a shake of his head. "You tried down in his lab?"

"No, I came here first," Crystal replied. "I will go check his lab." She began to turn away, then quickly faced Angelo again. "I read the journals and your journal post. I was very sorry to hear about your friend and his sister."

Angelo had turned back into the suite, reaching down to Joyita's collar, but he stopped still at that, half-facing away from her. "I... thanks."

Crystal nodded once. "I did not mean to bother you; I know that you asked to be left alone. You have my word that I will not be playing any pranks, pointless or otherwise. I sincerely hope that Laurie has all of the 'pranking' out of her system now."

That got a faint huff of a laugh. "I didn't think you would - not exactly your style, is it?"

Crystal smiled. Good. It had not been a very enthusiastic laugh, but it had been a laugh nonetheless. His reaction could have been much worse. "You are correct; I am not in the habit of pulling pranks, whether they be on a specific person or in general. I have the one prank that I pulled on Forge during my last month as a student here, and I believe that was enough for me."

"The one with... his car, wasn't it?" He glanced up at her, vaguely amused.

Crystal nodded. "Yes. I had help, though. I was not even at the mansion when the prank took place." She smiled a bit.

"Plausible deniability. Guess that's the best way, if you're gonna do it at all."

"I think it took Forge a few weeks to figure out who was actually responsible for the idea," Crystal said with a smile. "I discussed the prank with him before then, and he seemed to have no idea that I was the one behind it. Speaking of Forge, I believe I will resume my search for him. Have a good evening, Angelo."

"You too", he said with a nod, then offered a crooked grin. "Have fun, when you find him."

With another smile and nod to Angelo, Crystal soared down the hall in search of Forge.
