Right after Cain finds Jubilee
With her hip, Moira shoved her office door closed and leaned against it with a sigh. She had been up and running since the night of the attack and hadn't stopped since. Things were quieting down some and she'd decided a little quiet research on Marie-Ange's drawings and dream logs were in order.
Stepping around the pillows left over from Jamie's therapy a while back, she noted that it might be a good idea to clean. The office had books, papers and toys of various kinds spread around. Two chairs and a couch also had managed to become adopted among the clutter.
Dropping the papers on her desk, Moira went to start up her computer when a note on her desk caught her eye. It was from Cain.
Right as she was reaching for it, she stopped, eyes glued to the picture nestled next to the note. A cold feeling settled in her, admist all the running around she had forgotten to put up Kevin's baby picture.
Scooping it up, she touched it gently.
Had Cain seen?
It wasn't much of a secret...just not something she was comfortable with explaining. Or thinking about. But with the anniversary of his death having been just a few days ago, and the anniversary of his birthday a few days away, it was hard to keep from her mind.
Breathing deeply, she opened up the drawer to her desk and placed the picture inside before locking it back in.
She had, like always, work to do.
