With help looking to be a day or two in coming, the Elpis group in Kyrgyzstan get slightly desperate.

Shit, Domino thought, her jaw tightening as she set the phone down and gazed at the girls. "Well," she said, stashing the satellite phone back in her bag, "they picked a lousy time to disappear. Not only can the X-Men not get here in any sort of timely fashion-" She had alerted the mansion, although she knew that they were plane-less; Nathan had mentioned it on the flight. "-but there are a grand total of two people home in Tel Aviv. They're still coming, but Mina says it may take a day."

Rahne growled softly in the back of her throat. "Too bad." She frowned. "I realize I've not had the experience of some of you," mostly Domino, though Monet had X-Men training and Yvette had lived in more volatile areas than Rahne ever really had, "and that having more people disappear wouldna help, but I'd like to try tracking them before the scents wear off too much."

"And I can cover a lot of ground fairly quickly," Jane piped up, conveniently forgetting to mention her absolute lack of field experience outside of disaster zones. But she couldn't not help. She was sick of sitting by the sidelines helpless every time one of her friends disappeared, or was kidnapped, or worse.

Monet nodded. "Yeah. We can't leave them here. I'm not real well trained yet, or anything but, dude, we can't just leave them till Mina gets here." She paused, raking a hand through her hair. "Yvette? Uh, if Nate and Angelo got... whatevered... I don't know if I trust the taxi drivers here enough to get you back to Bishkek safe. 'vette, Dom, what do you reckon?"

Yvette drew herself up to her admittedly not great full height. "Please, I can go with you," she said. "I can be helping and my skin is making me safe from hurting."

"The chaikhana is not anything approaching secure," Domino said after a moment. There really weren't all that many options to weigh. "Especially since we don't know what happened. In fact, I think it's safest if we do all stay mobile until Mina gets here. Yvette, the best place for you is with me." The girl did have certain natural advantages, and if that combined with Dom's own luck couldn't keep her safe... well, it was the best option. "Rahne, Monet, Jane - the three of you take the east side of town and stick together. Yvette and I will take the west. Check in every half-hour, sooner if you find any
trace of the guys. Are we all clear?"

The nods were commendably prompt, but Domino still grimaced. This was a whole lot of flying by the seat of their pants.
