Laurie is very well schooled on her cat etiquette, which pleases Catseye to a great degree.

Laurie had been walking back to her suite from the main kitchen in the
mansion when she noticed the purple cat watching the raindrops hit the
window, a paw twitching periodically, and then delicately placed against the
glass.

"Hey there, little one." Laurie said softly, moving to sit down beside the
cat as she held her fingers out for her to sniff. "You done with classes for
today?"

While, technically, Laurie knew the cat was actually Catseye, a student at
the school, it was hard to break the habit of a lifetime and she's always
talked to cats this way.

Sniffing the fingers automatically because it was part of The Way Things Are
(even though she already knew who Laurie was) Catseye gave the woman a
'mrrrrt!' of greeting and turned back to the window and the raindrops.

"Meow." Catseye is done being a student for the day and now Catseye can
be a cat again. This is a GoodThing.
Her tail twitched in irritation of
having to go to classes in girlform even though she'd become much more
comfortable with her human body during her time with Evan.

The raindrops were intriguing, but the cat found Laurie's scent to be
distracting, and she tore her gaze from the window to focus on Laurie,
headbutting her hand. "Mrrrt?" How was PastramiBringingGirl's day?

Laurie unfortunately was not conversant in cat, but she had had a long
history of interaction with them and so she allowed herself to start patting
Catseye as she would any other cat she might come across. "Do you like the
rain? I think it usually makes for a good excuse to curl up in a big chair
with a book and eat cupcakes, myself."

Catseye scratched at an ear with a back paw. Catseye likes curling up in
peoples' laps when the rain makes them sit in chairs.
A particularly
fast raindrop raced down the windowpane and the lavender cat pawed at it
intently for several seconds before Laurie's scent distracted her again.
If PastramiBringingGirl doesn't want to be called SmellyGirl,
PastramiBringingGirl needs to get Catseye some meat.
Wrapping her tail
around Laurie's wrist, Catseye gave it a tug and jumped down from the
windowsill, letting go of Laurie's wrist and taking a few steps towards the
kitchen before turning back to Laurie.

Laurie grinned at the tug on her wrist, obviously Catseye wanted to show her something. Considering she didn't have anywhere to be right then, she had no trouble following along. Standing, she followed along after her curiously.

Pleased that Laurie was following, Catseye strolled into the kitchen and leapt up onto one of the counters. "Mew!" she extolled plaintively, pawing at an electric can opener. Feed the cat! Tuna! You know you don't want the 'little one' to starve!

"You, are a giant ham." Laurie said, an air of amusement in her tone. She was used to animals, and especially used to their point of view that they were always starving. "You sure you haven't already eaten? Wouldn't want to have a plump cat on our hands."

The cat let out a hiss at Laurie's comment. Catseye is not plump! She used her tail to open one of the cupboards and pick out a tin of tuna, placing it on the countertop and pushing it towards Laurie. "Mrrrrrrrrrrow!" Time to feed the cat!

"Okay, okay." Laurie replied with a big grin, reaching for the can of tuna and pulling a can opener from a nearby drawer. "Don't blame me if you get put on a diet by Cain though."

She quickly opened the can and then dumped the contents onto a plate before placing it in front of Catseye.

"There we go, Madam Cat. Your tuna."

Politely, Catseye gave Laurie a nod in response to the formal address and then pawed some of the tuna off the plate towards Laurie. PastramiBringingGirl should have some too! Yummy tuna!

Laurie shook her head, placing her hands up in a warding gesture. "Sorry kitty, I'm not a fan of fish. Tuna tends to make me want to hurl. How about I make myself a salad sandwich though? That way you don't feel like you're eating in front of me."

With a mew of agreement, Catseye padded across the counter and grabbed a loaf of bread from the bread drawer, gripping the tie with her tail and offering it to Laurie. Sandwich! TunaOpeningGirl can have green rabbit food salad and Catseye will eat allllllll the tuna!

"Thanks, Catseye." Laurie replied, grabbing the bread before heading over to the fridge to retreive salad to go on it.

The cat hopped off the counter nimbly and bumped against Laurie's leg before standing with her front paws on one of the fridge's shelves. She smelled the pastrami before she saw it, and clawed at the package to pull it onto the floor. Catseye thinks she would like some pastrami with her tuna please! And maybe TunaOpeningGirl would ilke some pastrami instead of green rabbit food? "Mrrt?" She turned huge black pupils on Laurie questioningly.

Laurie bent down to pick up the packet, unwrapping it to hand Catseye some of her beloved pastrami. "You have a one track mind, kitty. But that's okay, at least you're not as bad as the boys."
