Monet and Kurt, the next morning
Jan. 1st, 2009 07:18 amMonet woke slowly, and, once she'd gently nudgedKurt's leg and tail out of the way, was able to curl up comfortably and just doze enjoying the warmth and early morning light coming through the curtains. "Mmm..."
Kurt shifted next to her, with a half-awake mumble of protest at the sudden lack of body heat down his leg, and moved instinctively to follow, his tail looping over her body. As he woke more, "...good morning..."
She wriggled slightly. She'd discovered in the night that a sleeping Kurt might as well be completely exothermic, instinctively clinging to the warmest patch of the bed whilst she'd kicked off most of the covers - the doona lay half on the floor. "Morning." She gave him a lazy smile.
It was returned, sleepily, as he nestled down into the mattress. "Did you sleep well?"
"Oh, not bad. Someone seems to have this weird heat seeking ability, though."
Kurt chuckled. "My brother used to complain of that, when we were children sharing a wagon. Somehow I always ended up in his bed or stealing his blanket while he slept."
"So it's a long-term problem? Oh dear."
